Got notice for payment on my PS4 preorder yesterday, probably be a couple weeks till it arrives though.

I heard it's got a day 1 patch and there's something wrong with the menus but that was on the Switch version.

I played it for a few hours last night and it kicks ass.

So far only cleared Super Easy and Arrange S, but almost finished the TLB in Arrange L.

Arrange S is “all hyper all the time” mode and is good fun but fairly easy, Arrange L is more interesting and is a DFK style take with auto bombs and auto hypers that make the game much more approachable. Arrange E is a modified second loop mode.

I see myself getting the most play out of Arrange L because I really enjoy DFK.

The arrange soundtrack is awesome as expected and challenge mode plus leaderboards make this the definitive release of the game. No noticeable lag on Switch either.

The only M2 developed Switch Cave ports are DOJ and Esprade. There are a few more on PS4 though.

I know it’s more of a switch related question, but is the lite system worthwhile if I plan on playing shmups mostly?

Depends on how essential tate mode is for you. I enjoy playing on switch for convenience, but using the flipgrip is both awesome and annoying at times. I guess you can just prop your lite on it's side and sync another joycon to it.

It’s way better playing in tate for vertical shmups, I probably wouldn’t bother with lite unless it’s a second system or something.
