From what I've seen, uh...there's a lot of women who are calling themselves 'witches against patriarchy'.
Flippin weird, man.
I doubt people irl talk about it, but there's a significant online presence of women calling themselves witches. In 2020. Something like Faust's wife doing astrology but 'witchy'. What is it with women and this weird shit.
It's really not all that many women.
Tumblr and Twitter, social media in general, is a megaphone for people to voice their frustrations.
People see 20,000 retweets and 40,000 likes as 'good engagement' for the analytics.
There are, according to Google, 330 million users on Twitter and 140 million of those are active. I didn't look into how many are slacktivists, ho many are thots, how many are entrepreneurs (creatives selling work by commission and as online 'portfolios'), how many are media and how many are just shitposters.
This means the rest of the 7 billion people on the planet are just doing their thing. Vocal minorities have seized all the conches and corporations act on these analytics, which aren't representative anything but, like the stock market, it's a combination of perceived value and social and consumer engineering.
It's all about the Overton Window and corporations forcefeeding you products based on the analytics.
