Did VF5 get the slowdown treatment?

I was playing VF4 Evo at my house, when my friend called up and asked if I wanted to hang out, so I go to his house and play some VF5 on his PS3. Now maybe it's just me, but is VF5 actually slower gameplay wise than VF4 Evo? I played VF5 expecting the gameplay to be similar to VF4 evo, but it seemed slower to me.

Well, I haven't played VF5 enough to be 100% certain, however, Lau definitely seems alot slower than previously.

I usually play as Jacky, and for some reason going from VF4 Evo to this, seemed like something just wasnt right...

Edit- I actually played a demo on the PS3 earlier today, and it didnt have jacky as a playable character but it did have sarah, and playing as sarah (which I pretty much never do) everything seemed normal. But that demo was based on an earlier version of the game as well.
