My STV setup came in yesterday, so I had an extended session with Radiant Silvergun and Soukyu Gurentai.

I suck at both, but they are both amazingly well designed. The puzzle elements in Radiant are genius.:buttrock:

Dogyuun is pretty nice. I think I may pick up the JAMMA board eventually if I see a nice deal.

I played Raiden Fighters a couple days ago. How far along are you?

Never. :)

Up there with Batsugun as Toaplan's best. IMO

Strikers 1945 + and Prehistoric Isle 2 just arrived, so I've been playing those as well.

It sucks Dogyuun's sound isn't emulated because the soundtrack is amazing.

For Kiel: when in 2 player mode the game adjusts the difficulty. This is why joining ships increases intensity. Also setting the difficulty to hard in 1P mode will result in a manic like shooter experience.

got some work done on my mame pc in my vertical cab last night. Played Tatsujin 2 WAY too much. Still have to get a front-end working the way I like though, then I'll be set. Also got in some time with Battle Bakraid.

Later I tried Batsugun to find out that it isn't emulated 100%....so, I quickly unplugged everything and threw in my PCB. :buttrock:

I too wish I could own a Ketsui PCB...

:crying:
I haven't played it for a while, I have been out to new jersey for a funeral, but I'm back and I'll be playing it again. Haven't played any STG for like 3-4 days. Last time I checked though, I usually get to stage 3 or 4. I've only gotten to level 5 once. I really still need to play it more, theres so many characters that I don't even know what they all do yet.

Oh yeah, when you first power the game up though, it starts out at a crazy rank. I actually leave the cabinet on for a while to dumb it down to my level.

I should have a magical Chinese package coming in the mail soon.

Been playing Gaplus on Namco Museum (PSX), I still have a thing to settle with this game. Most people hate it but when it came out, I got dragged into it and started coin-feeding the cab like mad. It's still a love-hate thing, I love the simple but effective graphics, the sound f/x and the overall fast-paced gameplay, but the CPU is just so damn cheap.

thats funny. my brother in law traded his ps3 for a quad for his son..
and a gaplus dedicated cab. cab was decent, but the monitor had some
pretty bad burn in. he sold it on CL today on the cheap. $170 bucks

i think everyone was mad i was the only one on the HS list.

my best was a 158,600 in parsec 11. :emb: i'll miss that thing

Cool, a dedicated Gaplus cab is one of the arcade machines I'd love to own one day, that and a cocktail version of Wonder Boy. Kudos to your brother man, nice trade-in.

Ah yeah, parsec 11 is where my eyes start to bleed too...

Played a lot of Batrider and Dangun Feveron today on mame. Both PCBs are definitely going on my "to buy" list.

Batrider is fucking amazing. I've been hooked on it all week.

I've been playing DoDonPachi on and off for the Saturn lately. Its just a major disappointment that the port feels so unfinished. There are a lot of features that could of have been added to help people like me improve their score. The "Score Attack" feature just doesn't really cut it. Battle Garegga is one hell of a game! I think I'm gonna go play it now! :D
