CPS-3 Noob - Not Able to Run 3rd Strike Properly

So you are saying it fails at 50% regardless of the position of the simms? If that is the case then the fault is likely in the burned CD-R or the CD drive itself. I had to buy a new drive off of ebay. I bought two more drives as backups after it tested really well on my setup.

It only fails @ 50% with the new SIMM on the board. I'm going through an install of 2i with the new SIMM in slot three and so far at 6 minutes, it's not gaining any %.

And it just failed.. I think this SIMM is bad.

Ok tested again with the new SIMM in slots three and four.

Slot 3: no progress on install
Slot 4: gets to 25% and freezes
Slot 5: gets to 50% and freezes

If the new SIMM is pulled I can install 2i just fine. I'm calling it. This SIMM is bad :-(.
