I use to love my MVS till the monitor started quitting on me. Now I have problems, no one local can help me and I've taken a break from the MVS.
I love my home cart system. When you have it fully modded and playing on a 35" Sony XBR TV it is the shiznit <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
Playing games like Metal Slug 3 make my back ache from standing so long. Its nice to relax in a nice comfortable chair and kick back and play some games.
Also, you can buy a MAS joystick which are very nice to get that arcade feel.
I also love the CDZ System as well. Twinkle Star Sprites is a blast. Most CD's take a while, but the soundtrack and music make up for it <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">, plus the extra options.
Just pick a platform and enjoy your neo geo. Don't bitch and complain about how expensive carts are, and put people down that own a home cart system.

and BTW converters are not just for peeps to save a buck ,,,how about playing non released games ? ,,,cant see much savings in a 300 dollar converter ,,,,and mvs cabs do have their downpoints ,,,,, what about portability ? ,,,i'll drag my cheap home cart console to my buddies home for a tourney and you can bring your cab oh thats right you prefer to stay in your big home and play by yourself ,,,not everyone has the size of home as you do ,,,,and sure some carts are expensive ,,,maybe some carts,,,and maybe its not expensive to some ,,
did i say cheap console ? ,,yeah my 'beater' is cost alot less than your cab ,,,
and DSD i agree with your points ,,,

Actually I wasnt really puking but this "Yeah SDB (Insert name of favourite game) for home System" posts made me so angry. You can only make new homecarts if you a) kill some MVS carts for chips and some AES Cards for the case b) pirate everything. Cant you guys accept that some games are just MVS? Whats the problem? Why dont you get an MVS Cabinet, most of you play on with S-Video only ( Because American TV's are shit ) and you have to pay extra to get better picture quality, i cant understand this, no to mention Stereo Sound.

Say you have collected every single officially released home AES game. Is it so hard to understand why people would want converted carts to finish that collection? If a person is hardcore enough into the neo to get all the games, why should they turn around and "just accept that some games are just MVS"?
Not everyone wants ANOTHER system besides their home system. Some people want converted carts to make their collection the best it can be, with price as a secondary priority.

I am eleven years old, Actually I dont cry, I just cant stop laughing on you, stupid enough to pay 400$ for a fake (pirated?) game, or 1000$ ( I think the price is even higher ) for a Metal Slug.
