Hey D-Lite, I know that the CGE expo is in 3 days, but I don't think that I will be able come to this year's CGE expo to meet you & others at the show. My mom decided not to get that bus like van because it wasn't registered & the tags were illegal to. So she might just buy a mini van with a ramp to go places, but it will take awhile to get a mini van. I am very sorry about this my friend & next time we can meet at the next CGE expo next year kay?.

You never know you might see me around Fry's Electronic's when I spend some money to buy some anime & video games before my birthday in November.

Just got back from the show....

A tad better than last year,but still was not all that great. Met up with the usual suspects (D-Lite,300Wins,Jindo,Dojosky,Disconnected),had a drink with FOMOCO&CO (wooT),and exchanged pounds with a few new faces (Oldergames...a few others,can't remember).

Even recognized Verbatum in his incognito mode....made my day

Well CGE is over and this year was a little better than last year, but not by much. I did have lots of fun thought doing other things. I want to thank D-Lite especially for hooking me up with a pass for the day and modding my Duo-R and letting me get some nice deals on some stuff he was selling.

BIG - Always nice for you to show up and hang out and thanks for bringing us to the shumps gathering.

Stuffmonger - Glad you could make it and hopefully it was worth the drive up here for you.

Disconnected - Thanks for the mini marquee. I owe you one and remind me to get you a larger steak next time.

FOMOCO&CO - Good luck on the move to Arizona.

Jindo - Always nice when you show up, even though you only live 15 minutes from me.

I got back at like 3am and I'm dead freaking tired.
I finally got my GL I was lusting for on a homecart courtesy of
that DUO-R pimpin' modding machine of a man: D-Lite.

Sold off a bunch of my old crap carts to some nice noobs,
picked up 2 extra home systems, traded Disconnected "I think
that was your name?..." for a KOF 2001 and did a ton of
other stuff.

Got to demo Frog Feast which a lot of guys thought was
pretty cool. I spent a lot of time with D-Lite at his booth
and we pretty much spent the weekend talking shit to
eachother which helped me pass the time when I wasn't
finding him MVS setups and carts that people were practically
donating to him at $60.

I'm happy I met the lot of you and enjoyed seeing your
faces and the few minutes we did get to talk. BIG was pretty
cool but is still a newb but I'll let that slide because I kicked
his ass on Frog Feast.

I'm happy most of you were gone by Sunday because
it helped me establish a stronghold on the messiah booth's
raffle. I won a Guile version limited xbox SF 15th anniversary
controller and of course that big ass arcade one as well.
It set me back a whopping $20 and some old lady gave
me the look of death after I won it. sheesh...

Of course D-Lite says I'm a bitch and I should be banned
from buying, trading and selling because I should be
paying full price for everything... Then again he said
that before. LOL.

In all seriousness: It was a blast seeing you all and
if we don't do CGE 2K6 I will definately have to
go to one of these so call hook-ups.

p.s.- buy some AES carts you cheap bastards!

Decent turnout, especially on Saturday, and we did quite well. Of course, I spent the previous 3+ weeks modding for the show, including 9 superguns. Didn't sell a single one to the the Atari crowd, but educated a lot of folks I think. Had one out playing PGM, AWave, Neo, CPS2.

A big big BIG BIG thanks to new NG.com member 3xChaos who loaned us a Neo 19 candy for the weekend! Big hit there and had some people playing it that I nearly had to pry off.

D-Lite, thanks for allowing me to show my Neo-19 at your booth. Of course if it weren't for your MVS carts in the Neo-19 (Metal Slug 5, SVC Chaos and KOF 98) people would have been bored playing Puzzle Bobble all weekend long. I'm glad everyone enjoyed playing it and hope this will encourage people to bring more Neo stuff to shows like CA Extreme and CGE. The whole thing almost didn't happen since it was a last minute decision. I had plans already for the weekend and couldn't attend the show. Late Wednesday, the idea crossed my mind so I decided to write to D-Lite. Not having met D-Lite or even spoken to him on this forum, he bent over backwards to make this happen. This is on top of the fact that he was probably busy as hell getting all his stuff together for CGE. Again, I think we all need to give a big thanks to D-Lite for making this happen. I'm hoping there are other Bay Area get togethers since I would be willing to haul my Neo-19 out again.

Finally 'poped my cherry' & played some atomiswave,... ...

Overall not the most impressed with the show but it did seem to top last year bay a loooooooong shot as far as the neo scene.

Who knows I may visit or start a similar show in AZ!

Definitely this year's CGE was far better than last year.

D-lite: Dean thanks for the deals on those MVS carts . Your set up at the CGE was awesome and the prices were just right.
