Those are buttons that arcade operators frequently use when they do not feel like modifying a cabinet to allow the proper number of "real" buttons to be used for a game. Say you only have two holes on each side of the deck for "control buttons" but you need four buttons on each side, as for an MVS set-up. Easy solution for a person that does not care if someone breaks a finger trying to do combos?

Install one "pie button" as you call them, and one regular button, giving you four buttons total without having to drill holes or take other drastic measures. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0"> I have actually seen a kit-cab with a button set-up as I just described, it is not a pretty sight. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

I have already seen Sf2 cabs where you can change the player during a match with the start button. There were special moves that I have never seen anywhere else!?
