life happens, as does change.

what's new with my ng.com brethren?

i'm in limbo, new job, same spot in pdx, new friends, new games (much less of them), and a lot on my mind.

holla.

Aw, nothing.

Took my LSAT Monday, will take my GRE, friends wanting to hang with me but can't because of test stuff, one friend decided to hurt herself, had a panic attack for the first time in three years Thursday. All manners of stress.

On the positive: got a new g/f, got a second job, will be going to Reno.

I think I need an oil change on the ol' truck. Hmm.

And it's nearly 2:00 a.m. in the morning here and I'm not tired but I should sleep.

I fell in love, I barely play games anymore and I'm studying my ass off to pass my exams.

I'm working on a fan comic that's probably going to drain away my life for the next few months, maybe longer.

Still working 6 days a week until we hire more people, and that's only if they actually show up for training. The last two people we hired didn't even bother to do that. :p

Other than that, life is peachy.

I'm past the halfway mark for my 2nd Iraqi Deployment, and when I'm done with that, "there's only one year left"...

I found out I may be able to go to college for next to free..

Got my heart broken, but deep down I was expecting it, so in the end it didn't hit as hard as I thought it would...

Despite the fact I'm playing less and less each day, still fighting temptation to buy a consolized-MVS with the money I make out here...

Became a father in November of 2005...

sold off most of my game systems and
down to only (Famicom AV, Mega Drive,
7800 ProSystem/2600, PS2
) + 2-Slot
Neo:Geo... *though I'm thinking of getting
a SuperGrafx + SCD2 within the next 6 months
modded by D-Lite of course...

play video games maybe a total of 4 hours
TWICE a week (if that)...

I no longer really give a damn about the
internet (well, to the point I once did) as it
no longer amuses me...

I still have heated opinions on things but
have learned to "just chill" over the last 2 years...

left the Independent Contractor field of various jobs
working for myself, and found a kick ass Private Security
Contractor (PSC) to work for, and conduct myself as the
professional I've always been, and work a Security Police
beat, not to be mistaken for "Security Guard".

Now in a career field I enjoy and have always excelled at,
I'm making honest money, helping others, working with other
SPOs and LEOs in the field, and my marriage is finally got some
equilibrium after a turbulent period.

from here on out it's gravy. I've more or less left my reasons
for being upset about stuff behind me. Had to grow up sometime.
Wouldn't change a thing. Just enjoying watching my daughter grow
up and find EVERYTHING around her entertaining.

OH YEAH... I still log onto NG.Com for some personal amusement
and to from time to time have a verbal fight just for the hell of it,
though like I said, it's more or less not fun anymore.

After spending the last 8 months getting more and more enmeshed in work until I felt I was going to go crazy, I finally decided I need to find a new job, maybe get out of the municipal management field altogether. Just now starting looking.

Also decided to find a new hobby to blow off some stress, so I'm headed to the gym for my first lesson in Brazilian Jiujitsu on Monday, maybe add Muay Thai if I really like this stuff.

graduated may 26, 2006 with a BA degree. Probably heading back in the fall to start my credential program. Working out every night, out of the Saturn and back into the 16-bit/8-bit era... watching NBA Finals, WWE, relaxing, friend from NY coming down in 2 weeks gonna chill with him, got 4 A's this past semester, not doing bad... and my independent movie gets released in October or thereabouts.
