But what exactly is the 8220?

I'm not sure about the 8300, but the difference between the 8220 and 8200 is that the 8220 has two VGA outputs, and the 8200 only has one. Also, I used to have an 8220 and it worked flawlessly with the LM1881 sync cleaner circuit. I have an 8200 now and it doesn't seem as compatible. Maybe the 8300 is better? I don't know anything about it.

I have the 8220 with a custom combination sync cleaner and scart adapter.
Mine works great.
