The NBA Jam one having online play is actually appealing.

Is it really online though? He just said it connects to Wifi. I'm wondering if I can play with someone thousands of miles away, or if it is only a local network kind of deal. They should have at the very least shown how the UI works for online.

I was under the impression it’s actually matchmaking. If it’s a mass produced product, with everyone running the same emulator and rom, I don’t see why they couldn’t make it work. But it honestly could have been online just to download more games
