The possibility of Cave making games for the XB1 was the only reason I was remotely interested in that console.

If they are out of the console business...then pretty safe to say I will not be getting an XB1.

Sad news for sure. I hope someone continues work as a new company using their latest engine targeting Steam/PSN/XBL. I'd say they should try using kickstarter to fund projects but I don't think the community is large enough to fund it.

They had announced right before saidaijou came out that they were no longer working on arcade games. The only reason it got a console release is that Microsoft asked cave to port it. Otherwise it would already be shut down.
