And yeah, 240 kb is way too big. As for how the text loads before images, having large sigs/avs is still annoying because if there are pictures you want to see on the page, you don't want that 240 kb pic loading before it. (yes i know you can right click, show picture... but when you have a lot of pictures it's very annoying).
