I ordered a wonderwitch back in april 4th and I haven't received it yet. Last successful communication with "dimitri" was in may. His website was updated early in July to reflect the new Wonderswan crystal. I have sent complaints to paypal.com (who probably will just pipe it into /dev/null) as well as the webhosting company llamacom.com that hosts his website.

Anyone else out there got burned by upstategames.com? If all the people who got burned by him previously flooded his provider and paypal with complaints, I'm sure we can blackhole his website.

I ordered an XRGB-2+ from them and had a similar experience. Dimitri tells me its in stock and its shipping out that same week. After numerous fruitless emails, a paypal complaint and a soon to come Credit Card complaint, he sent it Express Mail to me...a month after my order. Paypal customer service told me they had previous complaints for them, so this must happen pretty often. Avoid them at all costs... <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

We should all get together and jointly file a complaint with the local police department. Maybe when we can get a nice total of money stolen, we can get the police interested enough in tracking the down Dimitri Grigoriou and busting his ass.

Yes indeed! upstategames.com sucks very much ass! I ordered an import GBA with Castlevania from them when they first came out in Japan and with UPS ground and never got it. A friend ordered one two week after I did, and got his before me. After a month and numerous unanswered e-mails, I finally disputed the charge on my credit card, and then got an e-mail right away saying it was never shipped because Castlevania wasn't in stock. Two days later I got the GBA and Castlevania. Like TonK said, they are scammers, assholes, and won't reply to any e-mails unless it's about buying something from them. Avoid them like the plague. ncsx.com and videogamedepot.com are a helluva lot better.

On another note, I hope buyrite isn't half as bad as this because I pre-ordred Ikaruga froms them months back and will be depending on them for my copy.

Yes, very sad. I suppose that the dollar amount they (really only a "he" since its only one person) ripped off from any one person wasn't large enough for the local authorities to care about. And he has actually delivered some product to other people, making it less likely that he'd be charged with anything . . .

Anyway the word is out on the web about this guy, and was mentioned here long ago . . . I just deal with places like NCSX or the Neo Store, and of course Ebay . . . haven't really been burned yet, thankfully.

Crap,

Sorry to hear all of this. I bought the linker for the Pocket and the Gameboy from them when I was just starting out on some dev stuff. They delivered fast and were no problem at all... sorry to hear they have gone down the tube. I still look on their site from time to time, but they never have anything I want anymore... guess it is all for the best as I will steer clear from here on out.

Wow I never knew these guys were bad.

I've always had them on my import shop bookmark list, I almost ordered a wonderswan from them, but backed out, glad I didn't.

I hate these sites you think is a company, when it's really like 1 or 2 guys selling games out of their homes.
