I'm wondering if this is worth getting if you're a fan of the tabletop game?

Any of you GW fanatics pick this up?

I got it at launch.

I still haven't played a ton of it, but I've played enough to be able to confirm that it's far simpler than the original, and more fun for it. It's not too hard to grasp the strategy involved after a few games (I mean even for the un-initiated) and it's pretty damn fun.

My only possible caveat is that if you're hoping for an exact translation of the board game, it might actually be simplified too much, but it is surprisingly fun.

Oh yeah, and there's actually a really solid one-player campaign.

Have you noticed that GW is resurrecting their 'specialist games' division, that means Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Epic 40000, Mordheim and Man O'War are making a comeback. Brill, now I'll be able to get all those Mordheim undead miniatures for a reasonable price.

I would return to playing Specialist Games.

I want to be able to play a game and have to paint maybe a dozen miniatures. Just don't have the time anymore.

Do your characters gain experience, can they die, etc?
