Shawn,
About 2 weeks ago I ordered 1) JP Galaxy Fight, 1) JP Baseball Allstars Pro, 1) JP King of Monsters, and 1)lapel pen form you. I paid for it with my roommates Visa Check Card, and received a receipt from you, to both me and my roommates email, a day later I receive an email from you that states that the address on the card did not match up, and you asked for a number on the back of it, which I gave. Later I checked my roommates bank statement which says that the money I put in is no longer there, so now I'm left to wonder why you say the address didn't match up, and figure that it must be because we've only lived at the apartment for about 2 months, I later tell you this and you now say that the number on the back does not lead to an Intrust bank, and you then proceed to give me instructions to scan the card and email the front and back to you with my roommates signature, I tried this but my friends scanner did not work. So I come up with a more than reasonable way for everybody to get what they want, and that was for you to put the money back into my friends account and then I could just use your echeck option, I emailed you about this twice, and have not received a reply or any other feedback. Now I know the games I asked for have not been put back up on your site, but have also not been sent, and nothing has been done about getting me my money back either, so that leaves me with this option. Shawn all I want is either the games I purchased, or the money back in the account so that I can do so, that's all I'm asking. Your reputation as a good and fair businessman is being put at risk because of this, do what you can to set this straight, please.

Ahh the credit card verification system.
It's just struck me as well. I've had to cancel my ROTD preorder because of it.
Still, in my case no cash has been taken out of my account (at least I dont think so), its just a shame I'll miss out on all those freebies when I order it from NCSX.

Bah.

There is no reputation to be put on the line here. This is a private matter and posting it to the forums isnt going to get you anywhere closer to solving your problem.

can't you sort this out privatly using MSN or something. This doesn't concern anyone else on the boards at least put it in the war room.

Privately? Did you even read his post? Shawn isn't responding to his private messages, so what else is he suppose to do?

I think that we have to at least recognise that in the case of ANYONE ELSE we would be screaming for blood and thanking him for letting us know that someone is unreliable. But in this case, he should handle it privatly? That's a double standard that no one deserves.

I'm sure that Shawn will work this out, and I'm sure that it's just a misunderstanding. Knowing that someone has a good reputation for not causing problems in deals is a good thing, but it's more important for us as neo buyers, to know how a seller deals with problems once they occure.

I don't think this is private, and I don't think Shawn should be given any special treatment. I'm sure he'll handle it the best he can, and everyone will walk away knowing what happened and judge the people involved accordingly. That's a big part of this board and once we forget that, and start covering things up, then the trust will dissapear from the neo scene all together.

I once ordered the same item three times instead of one due to a problem that day or something with the online store. Shawn refunded my money, but that stupid credit card company took a week to put the money back on my card. I was happy with the service both times i bought from the neo store. It could be a delay with the cc company.

I agree that I don't like double standard either.

It is a controversial issue and hopefully Shawn can can handle the problem.

I've dealt with him once and everything was perfect.

Just wondering why there are a lot of bad transactions on this board lately........

I had a similar experience with Shawn. My item arrived in pristine condition, and the service was top-notch.

I don't understand your rationale. Is posting something like this supposed to "scare" Shawn into remedying the situation, where he wouldn't before? He's not a child like many of the drama queens here (David Koresh - how old are you?).

The Neo Store is a registered business. How about doing what everyone else in the world does (those without the luxury of a free public forum) and dispute the charge with your bank? Or your friends bank, whoever it is. Most likely there was an authorization taken out on the card, but the card wasnt charged. this is frequently what happens when there is a billing address discrepancy. Or maybe the CC company is sitting on their butt reversing the charge. Either way, calling the credit card company would be the next logical step, if your interest is really getting your money back and not stirring up controversy.

Ya, something like this should be handled privatly at first. Shawn is a very good man, and very reputable. Have you tried sending him a direct email? Or have you concidered that something may be holding up shipping? Dont just to conclusions just yet. Me and many of my friends have ordered things through shawn, I've ordered twice and both times have been flawless. I am sure there is a good explanation for everything.

I had a decent sized transaction with Shawn, and I must say his emails were fast, and so was the shipping.

Did you make sure to email him at sales@neo-geo.com instead of shawn@neo-geo.com?

Do the sales one (for sales inquiry only). He responds fast to that one.

I want to believe that you are a good person, and that your friend is willingly giving you his credit card to use. However, faith alone is not enough. Credit card ownership participation must be established in cases such as this, but thus far, no proof has been provided.

The Neo Store has been hammered with $10,000+ in credit card fraud over the past year. This is over 2% of gross sales, lost to chargebacks. Because of the high end prices of the items being sold, and the large percentage of overseas customers, this is certainly considered to be a high risk business.

I your case, you are using someone else’s credit card (non family), shipping address & billing address failed address verification check with Verisign, the phone # you provided for to the card issuing bank was incorrect, and you chose Express mail service for a decently large order. Your email is a “free mail” account, hotmail, which is commonly used in cases of fraud.

N = No, or failed
AVS Street Match: N
AVS Zip Match: N
AVS Operation: N

For a domestic order, yours raised an alarming number of red flags, the only additional red flag would be if your phone # was invalid.

After refunding your friends card so that you can use another, realize that I pay 3% in credit card fees. That’s $16 that I pay due to the refund being issued.

And remember: The buyer has nothing to lose when purchasing with credit card, he/she is protected by the credit card company and can always have the entire transaction reversed if the order is not shipped. The merchant is the only one at risk, and will lose to credit card fees or chargebacks in the end.

Hey NeoFreakWolf, you are a scamming fucktard and an idiot. Based on what Shawn just posted about your "order", I wouldn't trust you one iota. Why don't you try getting a life, and maybe your own fucking credit card, loser. They're not that hard to get . . . in the meantime, STFU.
