If there's a game worth $349, that is definitely Shock Troopers... GREAT game!

IMO, no game is worth that much strictly for play value... but as far as play value goes, I could think of 25 games off the top of my head I'd rather have.

So we'll agree to disagree. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

I would like to be able to get all of !ARCADE!'s conversions, but the thing that really set them apart from other conversions (for me anyway) was the manual with Strikers.

Striker's and Shock Troopers carts both average about $100 for the MVS cart. ST can be put on a sac cart for about $100 (!ARCADE!has their own boards anyway, eliminating this)...

I understand the need for profit to make these carts happen, but I can't really justify $350 for carts that I could get conversions of elsewhere for less (with art). So far, Strikers is still appealing due to the manual, though.

I've heard great things about D-R games and Jeff Kurtz...I can't speak for them, but if you send them the MVS and sac carts (total about $200) for $100 conversion fee, they'll do a professional job and even include art and sticker (when possible). Final price: about $300.

Funny, I've finished the game probably some 150+ times thus far. In terms of play value it didn't disappoint me a bit. But yes, we'll have to agree to disagree I suppose...

Right, I'm just saying that, as a point of reference, I've found a lot of cheaper games that have offered more play value and more variety than this one.

It's not a knock on its quality; I'm just saying that for the price I could find a much bigger variety of quality stuff.

Good game, there's just a lot of other games to put 350 dollars towards...

Did !arcade! ever issue the hard cases to the buyers of S1945P?
