Anyone in Baton Rouge, La or been there?

I am currently in Baton Rouge for a bowling tournament until Saturday morning. Can anyone recommend any really good local restaurants that are not a chain? Any type of cuisine is fine. Price is not a real concern but I would like to keep it under $50 a plate unless it is exceptional.

Try Pinetta's. I know exactly how to get there (I'm about an hour east) but I forget the street. Let me check for you.



EDIT: Perkins Rd. off I-10. Across from the Jimmy John's. Italian/European, decent portions, and you probably won't spend more than $20. I know the owners and some of the employees. Nice people. If you want "Louisiana food" you'd be better off checking out some of the smaller cities adjacent to BR.
