Playing AES is like taking a shit; you have to sit down to do it.

Real men play MVS - 'cuz Neo is always more fun standing up.

I sit on a chair or stool when I play the MVS Arcade machine.
I only stand up when I'm playing any Fighting games.

Which doesn't explain why a LOT of the arcade game machines in Japan have seats so that they can sit down and play. Even in most arcades that I go to these days, people are more than eager to grab a stool so that they can sit down and play the game. So I guess a lot more virtual "dumps" are being taken instead of your preffered method of "pissing" on everything. (Bad, tasteless joke... I know).

AES... MVS... one better than the other? BS! Just play the games and stop making these sensless comparisons.

Briggs... thanks for the photos.
Those ARE some beautiful pieces of work, aren't they? That would be the ULTIMATE way to play the MVS... but imagine how much a complete unit like that would sell for? :D

what about superguns?

Anyways, I play both.

On the note of those big-screens, I've seen a similar design at one of my local arcades playing CvS

Yeah, I even saw something similar playing one of the Mortal Kombat games (MK3?) a few years ago. I've never seen them playing any Neo games, though; all the Neo cabinets around here are small and mostly one or two slot only.

I actually played Samurai Showdown on those things...frankly, I like my candy a lot better. They're nice, but the 50" screen is crap. The sprites look like they're from Super Mario Bros. When you blow them up like that, and those screens are the older BIG SCREEN systems where they look all dark and nasty.

Anyway, My 29" candy is about as big a screen as I could stand for neo.

My vote for MVS/AES? Get both if you can, if you can't, just sit around kinda wishing you could. Both have thier advantages.

I agree with you. This thread was a bad idea. No real neo geo fan would dis either the MVS or home system. Both are awesome in their own right.

I'd probably sleep with your sister to get that thing, too.
