AES not working

MY AES has not been used in years. The power does not come on at all when I try to use it.

It is a Japanese version with original NEO - POW3 power supply.

But I heard some rattling inside when I shake the system. I guess something is loose inside.

Don't want to open the console but I guess that is my only option now.

Ideas anyone?

Could be dead power supply, have you confirmed it's output with a multimeter?

also it's time to open it up otherwise you'll never really fix it.

Most common power issue is corroded power jack.

Just got a new power supply and it still does not work.

Need Help Sourcing Parts.....

I have an idea. I remember once in school we had these DB15 connectors that had no pins and we had to cut our own wire to make the pins. I think it was brass or so. Does anyone know where you can buy this wire to make the pins with? This way I can just make the pins a little longer on the NGCD...

If there is something rattling around on the inside... It's way worse to shake the system than to open it. Anyway you could try to see what rattles from the cart opening... But opening the system it so much simple that I wouldn't think about it twice, just be extra careful with the anti-slipping discs on the bottom (don't know how they are properly named).
