It is pretty rough. BUT I will say leveling up is pretty easy since you get plenty of XP/Gold from each fight so it makes them somewhat easy to get past em.

I can't believe it. That guy finally decided to release a completed translation after all those years. Glad it's here though! Now everyone can play the game in English. And i still have a good chunk of the story to realize for myself. Had to take the dust off my old game and redump it again to fit on FB Neo, Playing the bin-cue iso is better than risk scratching the disk. 😏

I threw it on my SD loader. Not sure when I'll actually get around to trying it. Funny how the SD loader only got support for the game in the latest firmware which came out in mid-October.

The game patches the system bios in memory. The hacker who helped with the patch also helped with the NeoSD Loader firmware update, so it's no coincidence.

I'm actually not surprised it took way too many fucking years to even get it translated much less out and playable. Before this I had signed this game off as a never not gonna fucking happen ever.

As a goob who actually really enjoys the story and lore of fighting games, thinking of SSRPG made me realize that, while the characters themselves are iconic and cool as hell, I don't give a damn about the story and don't have a clue what's going on in any SS game.

It should let you play, but if you play a little bit, you should run into tons of problems with the audio.

Not holding my breath on TO doing a firmware update for it, unfortunately.

I've heard that despite the products being of high quality, TerraOnion sucks royally in regards to firmware updates. Which sucks 'cause i do plan on buying a Neo SD for the AES.

Yup, their post-purchase support has been pretty bad. Mercifully, I personally haven't needed it.

I've played this game quite a bit. I will say this, you will be grinding a lot in this game. I know there was a new patch released recently, but I decided not to go for it. The version I am running, you fight a lot of enemies when on the map due to the short timing window with random encounters. I grinded so much, I am a quarter of the way through and I'm on level 70-72-73 with my group. And some enemies still don't die with one hit even when using special moves. But at least I got a ton of money in the game to buy and do anything I want. I should beat this at some point soon.
