The logos are too oversized for me but it is a matter of taste.
The unit is really really neat. Workmanship looks topnotch.
This is such a great alternative to an AES makes me wonder if I should switch.....

Do you think that the MVS boards are more reliable/durable than the AES ones?

first of all, i wanted to have a real brand new hardware. The only way was to purchase a MV-1C.
MVS boards are for me as reliable as NG aes. the only thing different is that MVS boards are maybe more "fragile".
the only thing u must be carefull is the connector of the slot where you plug the mvs cart. (sorry my english is not good and i don't know the good word).
home system is made for plug and unplug aes carts a thousand times....but the premium reason of mvs board is more to keep the same mvs cart "plug" for a long time.
the meaning is that MVS board are first for the professionals.
Connector of the 1-c is more fragile because there are no screw (on home sytem, there are 4 screw), so u must be carefull and go slowly when u unplug a game on this mvs board.
But u can resolve the problem and put 4 screws on ur mvs board..
(sorry for my bad english. hope u understand me ;)

No, i am a "purist" and i did not want to have a unibios cause i wanted to keep the board in his primitive condition.
I bought a japanese 1-c . So the games have red blood and are no censored.:)
And if u look the pics u can see that i kept the plastic "body" of the board.
I did not want to destroy the board.
My idea was to keep the system in a perfect condition.

yeah. evidently, it will be the only way that my
otherwise super-power-player 16 year old little sister
will ever be able to get to the end of FRUSTRATION LORD.
truly, she is DAMN good at that game, but the boss rush
at level seven is just too much!! plus, i myself cannot
wait to get it installed so i can enjoy ol' GAL AGIESE in
all his "I'M-DESTINED-JUST-TO-DIE" glory... :glee:

sorry about being off topic, but;
to update,
my sister has indeed cleared MAGICIAN LORD
on my still stock, non-UNIBIOSed AES.

in fact, she's cleared it over ten times now,
as she truly loves the game, and can't seem to get
enough of it.

for one, she finds the fact that the game stars a YOUNG wizard
to just positively kick total ass...

i suppose that it IS a concept that you hardly find in fantasy storytelling every day...

How about Simon the Sorcerer?

Sorry for further derailing the thread

Wow - beautiful work. I'm in the process of making my CMVS now. I hope mine looks even a quarter as good as the ones on here.

so has anyone made any enclosures for MV-1F's? I just went through this thread and didn't really see anything to help me build one :( . Having the board open just makes me nervous. (yeah yeah, I know I should have grabbed a MV-1C instead but the MV-1F was too good a deal to pass up)

Anyway, I was thinking plexi on the bottom with hex stand-offs and then maybe put plexi just above the board and cut it to go under the plastic cart holder. Then some custom paint and LED lights.

or maybe I should just make my 3rd custom stick :D

Someone's now burnt out...

From only 5? LOL, I feel ya.

When I launched my site I got flooded with requests to the point I had to remove it as a service. I can only do so many at a time. Plus everyone wanted theirs custom made to order.

My next personal one is still sitting at 70% for 2 years now. I'm building an unclaimed 2 slot right now and working on 2 CMVS repairs for people and 3 AESss with mods. And I have to make like 8 carts.

Busy. Good thing I'm not working.

I tend to get excited about something and over-do it until I'm tired of it.

I never really planned on building them to sell, but I ended up kinda sitting on a few boards, so...

One day soon, I'll build one and keep it for myself.

But, if I never cut a cart-slot again, I'll be a happy man.

EDIT: and yes, you do sound busy! I don't know how you keep it up man :)

EDIT #2: I just realized that cart slot comment won't make sense unless I explain that I've made 5 of the MV-1C consoles in various similar enclosures.
