it's about time they updated their site.
and the re-releases of SS3 and SS4 for the PSX/PSOne are a nice addition to other games being re-released. (KOF97-99, MSX)

It depends... are they the same, or improved versions of the ones they released before? If its the same SS3, then.... shudder eek_2

I have to agree on that one. Samurai Shodown 3 on the PlayStation was a terrible port.

10 frames of Zankuro's walking animation cut down to 2.

That is one title that should have stayed forgotten.

HELL YEAH!

They know how much we love "Samurai Shodown."

I would call this a good omen. "Samurai Shodown 5" anyone?

Good Omen: Improved versions of PSX SS3 & 4 paving the way for SS5

or

Bad Omen: repackaged versions of PSX SS3 & 4 leading a dead horse to be flogged further

I'm hoping for the former, but I'm not holding my breath either...

Any furthering of Neo Geo ports is a good sign. As long as the company does not abandon Video Games for Pachinko machines, I am happy.

Hope Playmore keeps kicking long enough for Sam Sho 5.

no one will buy those 21 ports in their right mind.

Even the SSIV port sucked.

But don't take my word for it. But it and see how they fucked up the sound on it. It's putrid.

And SSIII - for a port it was simply abyssmal. Just don't buy it. Besides, you can get it at nearly any gamestop or EB for $10 as a domestic release. Still not worth the plastic it was burned on. The game will give even a non-epileptic Grand Mal.

I played it an think it's just as good as the original, almost better in some ways.

Nice wallpaper, but I like Arcadia's version better (the characters are more expressive, and the whole scene looks more comical).

So, Playmore's moving, huh? Guess that means it's time to go dumpster diving outside Playmore's old offices! Maybe I'll find the rejected sketches, memos, and technical hardware that proves that King, Shingo, and Jhun were supposed to be in KOF 2002...

I betcha anything that Samurai Spirits 3 & 4 for the PSX will be re-releases (like they'd release any new remakes for the PSX- if they did, I betcha KOF '98 and '99 would've looked somewhat nicer).

I don't see the re-releases for the SS games selling that well at all. It's just a big mistake on Playless's part. They have so many games they could put effort into porting to major home consoles - like Asura Zanmaden, Buriki One, Blazing Star, Real Bout 2, and who knows, a redone Metal Slug 1 port with proper use of load times would be in order, as anyone that played the trash they released for the PS1 earlier would agree.

Yeah... "Samurai SLOWdown" is the phrase usually associated with that port wink I think even someone that pirated it would feel cheated... but I borrowed the game off a friend a while back who was dumb enough to actually BUY it for £20 or something... ouch :)

Here is what there gonna do. There gonna slap that nasty looking company logo over the original three blue letters we've all grown to love like family.
Which makes it look like THEY made those games to new audiences. If they keep the og snk logo's at title then that'd be cool, but like 2000 for dc, theres a ugly chance they wont.

why ss3 and 4? stupid.

bad bad ports.

Now if they put the 2 together on a dreamcast disc, interest would be , hmm, 95% higher?

Does anybody have the Garou MOTW wallpaper(1024x768) saved and if so, can you post it here? I missed out on saving it the first time. >.<

Well, pardon my ignorance, but I thought Samurai Shodown 4 wasn't released on the PSX. Even import. I've got the Saturn ports (damned great, mind ya), but I thought that the first 2 SSes made it to the PSX, then number 3 on its own.

Yeah, it was released on PSX. Way back on 12/25/97.

Good to know you can get the same crappy port seven years later in a different package. Thanks Playmore.

I didn't think this was unrelated, we're talking about wallpapers on Playmore's download page right??

Anyway, I think you're talking about the one with Rock and Terry, and Hokutomaru on the flagpole in the background? Sorry, I only have the 800x600.

Edit: The whole point here is that the wallpapers apparent vanish from the page after awhile, so get them while they're hot.
