How to copy or crack NeoGeo CD games for my NeoGeo CD Z system ?

Hi all,

I have NeoGeo CD Z system, and i have trouble for copy titles like Fatal Fury Real Bout Special 2 ! Someone know a program ot the way to copy this kind of game ? what's kind of protection is it ? Where i can get a crack for it if it exist one <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> ?

Try doing a search on the internet.
Something like "clone CD" should copy anything! Its freeware I think, so if you can find it on the internet you can download it.
Just please dont forget, back-up copies, even sharing with your friends is one thing! But copying for profit is always wrong!
I cant be much more help than that because I never use burns!

Clone CD doesn't work for copy NeoGeo CD Games ;( but thank you for your help man...

Clone CD isn't freeware...
But it is THE BEST CD copying software out there, and it's well worth the price of admission.
I'm very surprized that it wouldn't work on Neo CD games, it does everything else just fine. Did you try it?

CDZ will not play all CDR copies, you need regular neo cd for that.

CloneCD is "Shareware" of sorts, since it will run without regging it, but you only get 1x burning.

You gotta have a special drive for copying some kindsa games - Clone (and every CD-R prog) is fussy about which features work on which drives.

But sorry, I'm with the others on this one. Neo software is not amazingly common. Pirating devalues collections. Its not excuseable.

On the other hand, I'll help you. I'll copy the CDs for you. But for each CD, you have to give $100 to each and every member of the forum. How's that sound, guys?

OK- Now I want to get pissed! Dont ever post 2 topics in the same place. SNK is getting it up the ass now, and I dont want to see people getting free games, while all you have to do go buy the game from some on-line Neo Geo Store! CD games arent expensive, and I dont want to see some new technoligy that can copy AES games. IF this thing is supported than it will be developed. And if people are ripping new games like MS3- I will go insane. Metal Slug 3 is a game that can get SNK on its feet again. We have to respond to it! Fuck pirates. Go to hell. Ummm, I have a legitimate reason for copying games, not so much to back them up, so I can take them with me.
You see I have a PSX, and I have a Laptop with Bleem! on it. I have these great games: Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics, and I love them to death. So I play them at home on my PSX, and at school/on the road on my laptop. I play a burned copy on my laptop because I don't have to worry about scratching my valuable (yes valuable, look how much Final Fantasy Tactics goes for!)games in my CD case, as well as saving me the hassle of remembering where I left my one copy when I want to play it.

Look I understand how you guys especially must hate pirates (ie. I just payed $300 for MS3 and some asshole can just download it and play it for FREE?!?!?!!?), but there are legitimate reasons for having roms/CD backups. On the other hand, pirating hurts developers a lot (I know, I'm becoming one), and honestly if it doesn't slow down soon, we could all be paying $70 for the next version of Quake.

Hi all!

I've just revived my sweet neo geo cd and I'm the happiest! :D

Everything still works great I just need to clean a bit the pad but I've found a great tutorial.

All my old titles work perfectly except a single one (that I love): Double Dragon.

The title start without problems but more or less 1/4 of the loading the neo geo simply reboots.

The cd has not scratches...

What can I do?

I thought about using the original cd I have and make a copy of it (just for test purpouses).
Is it a good idea?
Maybe some capacitor is gone?
I have other games working perfectly but they are all smaller (art of fighting 2, windjammers... Tonight I'll test more and write back) so I thought that maybe ram on my unit has become defective.
In the end I don't know what to do.

I'd buy double dragon again but I'd want to be sure that the problem is not my unit.

Any kind of help is really appreciated :)

Burned games will prematurely kill the reader of your NGCD. Most NGCD originals are very affordable these days to not even consider using copies.

Double Dragon is the only game that has this problem which means it's a manufacturing defect.

You know what?

I've just tried different games, without cleaning cd or console.

I've tried successfully:

a) samurai shodown 2
b) kof94
c) the platform where you can do hadouken and shoryouken (can't remember the name :P)
d) world heroes jet

Then I tried double dragon again: it worked.

Then I tried it again: it worked.

Now I've been waiting for more than an hour and it's working again.

This is crazy ò_ò
