I just bought Samurai Showdown 3 from someone here on the forum
and the problem Im having is that when I try to use the BIOS
and switch from Japanese to English or from Home use to MVS use
( once I leave the BIOS Menu )

the game switches to a black screen and says the following in red letters:

WARNING
This Rom Cartridge is for use with
origional SNK boards only
Copying of SNK Boards is prohibited
and may result in severe civil and
Criminal penalties and will be
Prosecuted to the maxium extent
of the Law.

From here Im stuck. resetting the game mearly reloads this screen.
Im forced to Shut the game off only to start the whole problem all over again.

Keep in mind that this is only 1 in 52 MVS carts I own that does this.
All my other carts work perfectly.
Is this a Samurai Showdown 3 issue or is there just something wrong with
the cart?

Thank you for any help you can provide.
If you have any questions your welcome to ask.

( I checked the boards and they are all legit. All toshiba chips and nothing
that looks like a boot)

Im running the game on my AES with the
Super MVS Converter II

I have this feeling that your about to tell me its because of the
converter.

Frusterating if that is true because it works perfectly for
every other game Ive ever tried.
Including:

Samurai Shodown 1, 2, 4

You name it and it works great.
Just not Samurai Shodown 3

reset the backup RAM. I had that problem once, with Blazing Star, and that fixed it.

I had this same problem years ago, and it was also with Samurai Shodown 3. Here is the old thread:

If I remember correctly, another way around it was to start the game in default mode, and then switch it to MVS at the title screen, or character select, or something. I'm sorry I can't be more precise, I haven't played a Neo in a few years.

It's an AES.

I take it you are using a debug bios and not a universe bios?

Yes Raz Im using the Debug Bios that came with the
AES when I purchased it.

Will your Universe BIOS eliminate this problem?
