I just got a shiny Super Neo, and naturally I love it. However, I'm having one problem. Most of my games are MVS, played through the Phantom-1. However, on some games, if I boot the game in MVS mode (country doesn't matter) I get the following:

"Warning
This Rom cartridge is for use with original SNK boards only. Copying is prohibitied..." blah blah

I can boot the games into AES mode, then switch to MVS mode, which is a little annoying but works.

I get the error on just about half of my MVS games, and none of my AES games. I originally thought that this means those carts were bootlegs, but I'm fairly certain that one of the carts that doesn't work is legit, while my Metal Slug cart DOES work, and I'm pretty sure it's a bootleg.

My only other thought was maybe it does this because SNK never intended to use this equipment in the way that I am using it?

Actually nothing is wrong with that Gohan. It's doing excatly what it's supposed to do. If you wish to run the game as an MVS cart you need to go back into the Debug Bio Menu in either the options menu or title screen, Switch it to DEV MVS and then hit C to back out.

Of course the usual question being is how do I get credits?

Hold down Select on controller 2 and hit A & B to get the credits rolling in.

Enjoy. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Ah don't worry about it. It's something a lot of people miss at one point or another.

Seeyou in chat tho.

Let me know how it works out for you. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
