This is one of many selling threads that have recently popped up by this guy. Seems to have an excuse rolodex he refers to when asked why he wont allow local pickup + cash and will only accept paypal.

Beware!

I'm sorry... I have to agree with the folks posting on your sale thread.

You have to look at it from the standpoint of history. There have been quite a few scammers come on the board and offer to sell things then run with the money. Hell, even members that have been around for awhile have been seen to flake out in hard times and abscond with someone's money.

There also have been a couple of scammers that moved, set up new accounts, and tried (sucessfully at times) to scam again and again.

I've bought & sold things here, eBay, and on craigslist.com. I can understand no local pickup on eBay as that is a home based business and many HOA (Home Owner Associations) get pissy... but craigslist.... never.... forums... never. There are too many Wal-Mart parking lots or other neutral locations to meet.

There is a feedback mechanism on eBay where you can try to judge your risk. There is NONE on craigslist and the one on here still has more risk than on eBay. Just read the feedback forum and see that for yourself. Oh, and be prepared for people to say you are lying when you post up your eBay account feedback. We've had scammers here that have posted up random accounts to try and "prove" their worthiness.

Your sale thread just has too many alarm bells going off on it to sound worth the risk to forum members. Your hard times are understood by all but the risk to our hard earned ca$h is too great with the terms you state.

Some of those members that posted on your thread got personally burned by scammers. The others have seen what has happened and are sounding the alarm. YOU might just be an OK seller but there are too many other times where scams have happened.

My advice: take a bus. If you can't or don't feel safe doing so then arrange for the buyer to pay your cab fare there and you can then pay for it home.

I have to agree as well. You can't just come here, sell PS3s with 0 feedback, make all sorts of demands in your sale, and not expect problems. You'd either have to agree to some sort of local pick up, or at least ship first. People here are WELL aware of potential scammers, and use extreme caution (I know I do), especially for something like a PS3.

Yeah, it sucks to ship an item first: Do it anyway. We've all done it (or at least offered to do it). Personally, I think your sale thread looks shady as hell. I'd recommend working on that.

Side note: Before anyone even mentioned your sale thread, you responded to my non-working PSP thread. I thought you looked a bit shady in there as well: You told me that you had multiple systems available, gave very little information, and offered me a non-working system for $100 shipped. (WAY too much for something that doesn't work.)

I am glad you posted this and agree with the concerns of all that posted in his for sale thread.

This guy has no feedback but wants to sell a high priced item and won't allow local pick up.:oh_no:

Not only that but instead of addressing the concerns he just laughs. I vote to ban him and his IP. I wouldn't buy anything from him even if he offered to ship it first.
