Hello dudes,

I´ve just bought a X Arcade dual (from X-Gaming) and it´s really wonderful with Mame, Xbox & Dreamcast.

Is there any official/ unoficcial adapter to use it on the Neo systems?

Anybody builds it?

It would be really great to use it (of course official SNK joysticks rules but...)

Thanx in advance for info...

Most likely, it is possible to internally mod it with a DB15 cable so that it will work in a Neo Geo. I did this to my PS2 MAS stick and it works OK in my Neo :buttrock:

You just need to solder a wire to each microswitch of the stick and wire them to a DB15 (+ground) according to the Neo Geo pin-out found here:

http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/neocont.htm

There's some info in this thread:

http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103361

And here's what MKL did to a DC stick, you should be able to do a similar thing to your stick, although there are some other ways to do it with advantages and disadvantages depending on how exactly is the stick internally:

Humm thanks,

and how about using a PSX/PS2 to NEO GEO joystick adapter and the X-Arcade PSX/PS2 adapter?

Could it work or would the signal be lost somewhere in the process?

The idea is good and there´s no need to mod anything.

Los 2 trastos estos los venden en la tienda Hardcore-Gamer.net
Sale el total por unos 45 euros...
Tú que opinas?; porque yo de soldar no tengo "ni guarra"
Gracias

Yeah, the PS2 adaptor + Neo Geo adaptor should work, but possibly the button configuration will not be the ideal one. It's more expensive, but easier, so try it if you don't feel like doing the mod yourself.

You shouldn't have to solder the wires to the microswitches. Quick disconnects should work fine, they're easier to put on, and they won't mess up your microswitch tabs.

Well, this depends on how are the original wires connected to the microswitches and if he plans on keeping them...

Maybe they do things differently in Spain, but I've never seen a soldered microswitch in a cabinet (candy, or wooden upright).

But we are not talking about cabs, but console sticks. For the record, my MAS stick, built in USA, not Spain, has all the original wires soldered to the microswitches, and I aditionally soldered there the wires of a DB15 to use it in my supergun/neo.

ah... I've never seen a MAS stick... nor any other stick not custom made by the owner... I guess some of them do it differently... I've just never seen it myself.
