At the time (1996 I believe) SNK was bragging about its use of motion capture on Martial Artists and then animated from that.
The entire AOF series has those lovely oversized sprites, and AOF3 easily looks the best out of all of them...
Really smooth, and one of the finest looking games on the Neo.
Also the Ultimate KO feature is a pretty neat gimmick. Somehow I managed to land one on the final boss, and my jaw had to be picked up off the floor.

MOTW has fanastic animations already how could it be better?![]()

I cant comment on Rage of the Dragons because I dont have that, but the animation is smooth, and has a certain realistic edge to it.
You won't be dissapointed.

It's not animated like Kushnood Butt. It's a totally different style, and the pace of the game is totally different than MotW. AOF3 is amazing and looks beautiful, but if you're looking for something like MotW, you will be disappointed.Athlon64 said:Can I safely imagine Robert and Ryo moving like Kushnood Butt? If so this could be a "prize" fighter in my collection.![]()

And, is it still based around memorizing a certain pattern to beat each player ?
*By sloppy I mean,,,push a button, then wait 1/4 second for the game to respond. AOF2 has always felt like there's lag between the controller and the game.

Sloppy? I have no idea what you're talking about.*Abasuto said:I've never played AOF3. Did they fix the sloppy* gameplay from 1 and 2 ?

MotW's animation is very stylized (like most fighters). AOF3's animation is more motion captured, so the characters move more like actual people. It is drastically different. It's hard to describe, but AOF3 doesn't play as "smooth" as MotW (best I can explain it). Liking one does not guarantee you'll like both.
I like the gameplay of AOF3, but there are plenty of people who don't. Better try it out first.
