PS2 Problem!!!!.......

I have had my PS2 for a while now and it usually has worked well with no problems. But, about a few months ago it was reading games less and less and eventually it stopped reading games or any cd at all. My friend opened up my PS2 and moved the lense and it seemed to fix the problem. But the other day I rented Capcom Fighing Evolution and I couldn't get that or Budiki 3 to work on the PS2. So I'm wondering who else this has happened to and how to fix the problem so I can play future PS2 titles.
