It was released for PlayStation 4 in June 2018 with the "Trophies" system.
The game is an revamped version of the japanese The King of Fighters Orochi Collection featuring new menus, unlockable bonus features like music tracks and official illustrations which can be unlocked by going through each game's Challenge mode.
A PSP verson is also made for the Japanese audience under the title The King of Fighters Portable '94~'98 Chapter of Orochi.
