Template:CharacterInfoboxKevin Rian (ケビン・ライアン) is a character from the Fatal Fury series. He made his debut in Garou: Mark of the Wolves. According to the Q&A session of the Garou official website, he is a distant relative of Mary Ryan. He is voiced by Yō Kitazawa.

Story

Kevin Rian is a high-spirited S.W.A.T. officer of Second Southtown. Kevin's partner was investigating several random acts of murder by a fighter. After several days, Kevin's partner was reported missing and later found murdered in a dark alley. The only detail given to Kevin about the killer's appearance was "a long haired man". Deciding to take care of his partner's son, Marky, Kevin entered the King of Fighters: Maximum Mayhem tournament, as he felt that the one responsible would show up. After initially mistaking Terry Bogard for the murderer, Kevin apologizes to Terry but Marky goes missing. With Terry's help, Kevin found Marky peacefully sleeping.

Personality

Kevin has a strong sense of justice and is committed to protecting the citizens of Second Southtown. He acts like a tough guy with a cold demeanor, but Marky brings out a warmer, more fatherly side in him.

Powers

  • Explosive Attacks - Kevin can create explosions during his special and super attacks.

Skills

  • Weapons - Kevin is very adept in using various weapons, from guns to explosives, thanks to his SWAT Police training.

Fighting Style

Kevin's fighting style uses a style similar to Sambo but revolves more around direct strikes than grappling. Originally, his designer gave him knife attacks to improve his reach but this was taken out due to balancing issues.

Music

  • Wilderness Policeman - Garou: Mark of the Wolves
