I honestly don't care whether it does or not. I just bought my stand up arcade and found this place and wanted to buy a few games. I didn't know I would have to join a brotherhood just to get around a site. It's kind of difficult to navigate a site and comment on things you really know nothing about, is it not? I could just make up nonsense and then add to the stigma that all newbies are trolls, but why would I want too. All that aside, this seems to be the only place on the planet to find these games so I guess I have to try and do what it takes. Then again, maybe I'm just slow and don't have the awesome research skills of some of you guys.

I get it that the site want may want to stay troll free and clutter free, but some people out there just want a few games to play with their nieces and nephews. Not trying to bitch and moan but it's not very productive to think every new member is an idiot. Flame away........

Where have I heard this before, it seems to sound so familiar. Why someone would post such a thing especially at a place like this though really is beyond me. Where are they getting their ideas from? Who knows.

I think the rule needs to be changed to one month AND 100 posts after reading all this.

Well it's hard to get any posts when everything you write has to be approved by a mod and it doesn't show up until a day or two after you post it. It's kinda hard to participate in any discussion on the boards when there's that big of a time frame in-between the time you post something and it actually shows up. At least that's my experience the last few days. *sigh*

That will bee over soon enough and then you can post and participate.
It's worth the wait, trust me.

How soon is soon enough?? I can't find any information anywhere on this. Is there some secret post count number I'm supposed to hit before I no longer need approval? Am I supposed to be registered for a certain length of time? I've been registered since January. A few of my posts have gone through but most others have to be approved. It's really frustrating. They don't have this kind of setup over at NeoGeoForLife or most other forums I frequent. Everyone is different though. Maybe I missed a Faq somewhere that explains what I'm going through.

I think it is by accident that your posts still need approval. Did you contact a mod about it?

I'm attempting to make a thread for selling some MVS games but are declined because I don't have permission. I have ebay account and Tradera (Swedish auction site owned by eBay) to prove I'm legit...

To answer your question with earlier posts on this thread-

Also not being part of the community doesn't add to your post count. In other words don't come here only to sell.

Agreed. Please drop by the main threads and contribute. It doesn't take much to care. lol

A lot of people here wont deal with people that havent been around. If you want to get into the selling end, i would suggest posting around a bit. Let people get to know you. Also since you have been here less than a month and have only a few posts to your credit, you may very well be still under restriction. Hang out and chill for a bit. Your time to sell will come.

Welcome to the fold, cheers.

All right, thanks. It's true I didn't come here only to sell. I've been a huge Metal Slug fan for many years and just recently got hold of a deal of a Neo Candy cab with 37 games and I don't intend to keep them all, I need the money to expand my collection with games I really love, that's all.

What I think we should do is have people post a min of 50 posts before they can access the selling forum (just 50 posts, no time frame unless they are doing all 50 posts on the same day which will look suspicious), but the wanted is fine. Also no newbies can use gift paypal or add 4% since they should have to build their reputation in order to use it.

Posts on certain boards to not count towards your post count. Which boards do and don't count are a dark, insidious, secret of Neo-Geo.com, intended to thwart those who would potentially spam up the market threads.

I'm having trouble trying to contact a member here regarding a marketplace type deal. Am I under a certain post count to do this? As of current, I cannot make a private message, instead i'm given an error prompt asking if my Account has been disabled or that i'm trying to edit someone else's profile...

Personally, although I'm not immersed in the community at this point, all of the people I know that referred me here are upstanding, vocal, nice guys to deal with. I'm impressed with the crowd-control tactics lol

I've always felt "used" by people who only abuse and flip the market place. I've always thought that anyone who's selling should have to purchase 10 items, or some other arbitrary number during the vetting process.

I made several posts which did not increase my post count and were all relevant. I had a perfect market rating(18 or something 100%) and I still got wiped. Care to explain?

I also emailed shawn weeks ago and got no reply, so no more store purchases for me, good old Karma.

posts in the market place don't count. Asking for Tech help doesn't count. Hyping the NeoGeoX makes you no friends.
9 posts since 2011? Newbie please.

//EDIT: Mailing shawn? Complaing about not receiving an answer? Now you're just getting ridiculous... :lolz:
