Well, I'm a bit rusty but after a few runs, using my modded Hori stick and playing the game on the Wii Virtual Console, I got a decent score of 185xxx.

I haven't played slug 1 for ages, level 6 (yes 6, stuart campbell) pissed me off too much and I never went back, moved on to slug 2 for now but level 4/5 piss me off too much on that. \\o

can't believe I never read this thread before as slug1 is my favorite non fighter on the neogeo and I've been playing the shit out of it recently.

the images from the beginning of the thread explaining this cannon trick are long gone, could someone elaborate or post a pic to explain? I don't quite understand the concept.

EDIT: well I sorta have the idea, seems if you hit a enemy with the very edge of the explosions hitbox it will work, but a little confirmation of exactly what factors in would help still.

I've been wondering what the higest possible score for the first ever stage of metal slug is- I've steadily been increasing my score by just a few points each go recently-

Today I got up to 180160 and I was wondering if anyone can get any higher,
