Shinji Hosoe. He composed some of the greatest OSTs for Namco like Metal Hawk, Dragon Spirit, Dragon Saber. His newer stuff is also awesome from Ibara and Under Defeat

How can you guys mention Jeremy Soule without mentioning Secret of Evermore?

My personal fave is Masashi Hamauzu:

I have quite a few favorites. Overall, I'd go with Daisuke Ishiwatari followed closely by Nobuo Uematsu. My others would probably be ZUN and Kenji Ito.

I tried to think about the classics like Koshiro, Uematsu, Kondo, etc.

I have heard their music so much that it no longer really moves me. I still enjoy it and it's still all very good, but familiarity has bred a bit of contempt in me for that stuff. Whenever I'm taken with listening to a game soundtrack, I tend not to pick anything by them because I've heard it a million times now,.

My current faves would have to be:

Hitoshi Sakimoto

Keiichi Okabe-Nier and Drakengard 3 both have amazing soundtracks.

Hedeyuki Fukasawa-Street Fighter IV series, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 series, and especially fucking Chaos Legion and Shin Onimusha, which are two of the greatest soundtracks of all time.

Motoi Sakuraba - He's been around a long time and worked on numerous RPGs including the Tales series, but he gets my vote because of Valkyrie Profile 1 & 2.

If anything this thread has shown how diverse we are when it comes to music, I haven't heard a lot of these so it's nice to hear some new stuff thanks for sharing thus far.
