Got the albums I posted in the record collecting thread, the awesome secret santa bundle, plus a ton of coffee mugs from coworkers (to feed my addiction).
Also a peacoat and various shirts/sweaters from family. Gf got me a tomtom GPS watch as an early christmas gift during the last marathon and had bought the tickets to see star wars opening night, so all in all I had a great weekend.

I got a rarity for Christmas this year...

Peace and quiet.

No work for 3 days, hit the local casino Christmas morning and was dead in there. Ended up +$50. The family all went to my nephew's family for dinner. I declined when he 'suggested' everyone pitch in $13 to eat. Found that an insult so I stayed home, cooked myself dinner and watched the Doctor Who Special.

Best Christmas for me in quite awhile

My wife got me this really cool Tea Cup. The detail on the inside and outside of the cup is amazing. It put a smile on my face.

from the wife: a Mr Met funko bobblehead which i love and a pack of peavy brand mets logo vinyl guitar picks. The fun story to that is that she said she tried to find the noah syndergaard branded pick and not the jake peavy ones. I gently explained that jake peavy never played for the mets and that peavy is a brand of music equipment. Then i lol'd hard at her while explaining how cute the misunderstanding was.

From my dad: a really nice indoor bike trainer. It got use today since the weather was shit and i couldnt get out on the roads. pretty fun.

From my 2 aunts: The wife and I are in the process of adopting a ward of the state and they got us several sessions with an older child adoption consultant to help make the kids' transition easier. that was a pretty tremendous thing. It was super thoughtful and it floored us pretty good.

They emailed me last week saying they were backordered & assured me that I'd receive my order once it's back in stock. Just got another email a few minutes ago informing me that they can't fullfill my order and are going to cancel it.
