I know you can buy an OMVS case from LaserBear but at $100+ thats.... a little nuts.

If anyone has a 3D printer that can support the stl files, and is willing to print them (Ive got specific ones, not just the stuff on thingiverse) and willing to do this, hit me up.

Dont care about color, I can paint it.

3D printed MVS case…ridiculous. Too much time, too much material, too fragile, way way too lumpy.

There is this stuff called steel…you bend it, you cut it, you drill holes in it. Check it out sometime.

I use this service now:

They offer choices of tons of different materials, infill, etc., and choice of manufacturer. For smaller stuff I get out cheap enough that I have no interest at this point in even owning/buying a 3D printer of my own.

Upload your files and they'll quote it on different materials.

So... I talked a buddy of mine (the one that said his printer was too small) and he said it would cost about $14 or so worth of materials, in general...

Im thinkin more along the lines of like $30, for time, materials and shipping.

lmao WHOA. I haven't quoted anything that large. I've mostly made cases for smaller devices like BlueSCSI etc which are a few bucks a piece. Good to know though, sorry it's not a good solution.

Unless Im doin it wrong, which is totally possible. I dont know shit about 3D printing. They are simple STL files I got from thingaverse, or other places. Its not a huge thing, which is confusing for me. Its not like I'm printing a fucking car lol.

The baseplate for my Apple1 clone is about 170x120mm and it was ~15 USD. 60MM fan adapters were $3.80 a piece, two piece MP-IONA cases were $5.

What are the dimensions in mm?

Honestly Im not certain. I tried opening the stl and it opened in windows 3D viewer but I didn't see any measurements. I got the stls from here:

Top cover: https://www.printables.com/en/model/79126-omvs-open-mvs-shell-top-aes-inspired/files

cart slot cover: https://www.printables.com/pl/model/79240-omvs-or-open-mvs-cartridge-slot-dust-cover

The bottom, brace, rear and slot files were downloaded from the thingaverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4792013/files
