Is the transformation done by Rick Baker? I had read in the paper the guy just said the special effects were done by the same person. But the guy in the paper said it didn't look half as good as An American Werewolf in London. Pretty said that an almost 30 year old movie is still the gold standard in special effects.

I thought it was weird they put Hopkins in this after he was already in the Coppola Dracula. I know they used the same people over and over again in the classic Universal horror movies, and all the time in the Hammer movies, and that never bothered me. But somehow it seems distracting to me in modern movies.

I mean...WOLFMAN? It's not the 1950s anymore. And with big name actors and a huge budget, you can almost guarantee it will not take any serious risks and will suck.
