You know your right... This all happend this January/Feburary when I joined up here. I knew nothing about NGF, I was strictly a MVS cart collector before I joined here. I always bought my carts from arcade dealers and never had any desire to start collecting home carts. I had come into a little cash and I thought it would be nice to start a home collection. I started buying shit and what not from people here, and eBay. I posted some stuff I wanted to sell here and Chris contacted me on a trade. Now at the time I was a home cart newbe and had no idea why people were so pissed at them. I read some of the forums about their some of the shit Dion pulled, but the info on Chris, that I found, was minimal. Like I said before he was very polite and pleasent to me in the emails. I had checked out his feedback on eBay and it was very good and didnt think there would be a problem. Everything went smoothly until weeks after the stickers were brought to surface. I was pissed, yes, and didnt presue it. I felt the statute of limitations had run out on our deal and thought, oh well I learned the hard way. I am the type of person who will still tip a server at a restautant no matter of how bad the service is. I am not confrentational, and I am pretty easy going. Maybe I should have gotten pissed and cussed and raged at Chris for raping my manual. But I cant see myself acting rude towards someone who was very polite to me. I fucked up, ok.

The games I got were KOF99 and KOF94. Those are the only 2 games that I have ever gotten from Chris/NGF. Recently I posted 99 for sale here and sold it telling about the NGF sticker. Last night when you informed me about the eprom issue you made me very paranoid and I check my carts out. I can see the roms on the 99 cart through the vents and have no sticker and the look to be regular roms. I can see the soldier points and they look to be machined. I did the same with the 94 cart but can not see the rom though the vent. I can, however, see the soldier points and they look machined. I immediately emailed the 99 buyer and told him to look at this thread and read what you said. I told him what I noticed on the cart and if he wanted to, I would send him his money back as soon as it came in the mail. I do not want to sell potentialy pirate carts, etc. I'll have no part of that.

What does this mean? I actually lowered the price on the cart just because of the manual sticker. I dont believe that the stickers increase the value, that just doesnt make since. But I assure you, I only have 99 and 94 from them, and I am going to contact JeffKurtz and see if I can pay him to examine my carts.

Everyone, I am so sorry for all this shit. I had no idea this would happen. There is already enough tension in the scene and I apologize for further adding to peoples grief. Sorry... I cant say it enough.

I would very seriously doubt either a Kof99 or 94 would be a pirate cart.
It would be crazy to do so.
Kof99 is a protected chips MVS,
to port it to Home cart you would have to use a Kof99 or MOTW or MS3 as the sacrifice.
See the problem with that.
& 94 just not worth it value wise.

The carts that are likely to be unofficial fakes are unreleased carts,
and rare carts like Flying Power Disc or Ninja Masters or Kizuna Encounter.

On the subject of the manuals.. After I posted this thread Chris contacted me about the manual situation. In order to rectify the situation, he offered me a replacement manual that does not have the warranty sticker for my carts. When I got my 94, I had already taken the sticker off my manual and it damaged the page a little. Since I have already sold my 99, I am contacting the buyer to see if he wants the replacement manual. This is all too much drama for my blood. I have nothing more to say (i hope).

Let me start off by saying that orpheus.....man you are one ugly dude. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> Anyway. Ruined a sticker ruins the thing and they know it. Thats why they do it. All I need is a larger sized printer and the right type of paper (wich is the difficult part) to find and I could duplicate a Neo-Geo home cartridge insert to a "T". No shit. My scans are of the utmost highest quality , too good to be exact , and then a little touchup depending on the inserts condition and a few trail runs to determine color consistancy and walla! Even a cart sticker can be done easily. But the manuals... I would need a guppie. A pigeon if you would to carefully dismantle and scan. a Lot of work would go into this , but its not impossible. I will post a picture on my web site soon with a inserts I made next to the original. Lets see who can tell them apart. But I prefer all my carts to be original. But to get rid of the dog tag on few carts I will make an insert and put it in front of the real thing.

Sorry , I know this is a little off topic but I just wanted to say this because I have seen their inserts and they really could be better.
And I did at one time inquire to buy somthing from them but did not because I asked that it be original and Dion said 100 % of all my games are original wich made me realize that he meant they where all in one way or another messed with.

NeoTurf Masta I was trying to help here before.........let's not get into that now. Go to Lowe's or Wal-Mart ect..... Get a Mini-Mag light if you don't have one already. Nite-Ize makes a flexible fiber optic attachment. Both should cost $10-$15. You can bend and slide the fiber cable into the gap in the corner and bottom of the AES cart. This really helps inspect it without having to pop it open. You can see jumper wires, ect.... And as a bonus the light is great to have around the house and in the tool box too..... <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

Turf, Bear, Tonk, I feel for you guys and I think by now, we've all gotten the point you are trying to make. What I seriously don't understand though is if you are so frustrated with NGF, why not do something about it? I mean Tonk you say Dion owes you money. There are people you can call for that,that is a crime. I understand your frustration as I would be frustrated too, but I dont understand why for the past 3 to 4 months (as long as I've been a member) I've been hearing the same story over and over again. Seems like you just want to keep this war going forever without any end in sight.

Save your pity for NGF...I'm not frustrated at all... I am just stating the facts! You've been reading about the same story over and over again because some idiot always attempts to rationalize dealing with Chrissy because he seems like a 'NICE GUY'

I want them to know that CHRIS R is a very good Neo Geo Tech ona scale from a 1 to 10 he is a 10+ so he really knows the process of burning roms on to eproms and installing them onto the pcb's of your home cart!! SLAP a warranty sticker around the seams of your cart to discourage your inspection!! If you do Inspect the cart and break the seal attempting to open it you'll void the warranty freeing them from blame.

Every Neo Geo Page OWNER should provide a link to NGF's site explaining what they are liable to get!! They are apart of this community and we should'nt hide them away from the new people entering the community so I will petition all Neo Geo site owners to provide a link to the NGF page -BUT- please explain what they will be iable to get!! Chris and Dion are proud of what they've done so I don't think they would have a problem with it!!

I don't either so I will put a link up for them immediate..not eplaining waht they do in a hostile manner but in a civil manner....I mean what you'll receive is a Hybrid Cart of sorts.. a game is a game correct?

I am just saying I understand your frustration and rather than posting it over and over again, I'd like to see you do something about it. I like your idea about posting up their links. Use their own medicine on them. Bear I didnt mean to make you upset, I'm just stating the obvious. I'm glad to see you are taking some action and exercising your rights as an American.
