We want to address some questions we have received over the price of certain products we offer over those of other and unofficial homemade versions.
Being Big NeoGeo collectors ourselves, NGF staff sees the Neo AES world in a much different light than your average outsider looking in.
To us, the NGF unreleased games will really make your collection stand out above the "common" persons Neo AES library. Some people will talk about "prices" as if that is such a big deal. The truth is, price is what makes many differences in products, services, and life. It's a sad but true reality. A reality that NGF accepts and welcomes.
Part of what NeoGeoFreak/NGF-USA has been doing for the past 6 years is setting a REAL standard that other people can associate their collection with. We have always set these standards as far as 5 years ahead of everyone else. It seems that what we do and have always done first, other people will always mimic and try to duplicate, but with results far lower than from the popular NGF standards.
NGF-USA has always set the bar so high because of our own personal perfectionist beliefs in making our "personal AES collections" shine. We do for ourselves first, that way - if we are satisfied with our products, we know others will be more than exuberant. It would be easy for NGF-USA to cut corners to try and "save a buck or two," but we know the NeoGeo was not about "cheap and low cost products." Who else in the world would buy a $700 gaming system with cartridges costing over $200, $300, $400, and some titles are over $2500!!!! Only true NeoGeoFreaks. And these NeoGeoFreaks know about the finer things in life. And at this point, setting yourself apart from the other "I wanna be kool and get a NeoGeo fan" is the dedication of getting the NGF unreleased cartridges. That task is the high point and pinnacle of completing your Neo AES collection.
Do NGF unreleased AES carts cost more than regular AES carts?
You Bet! Does a Bentley cost more than a Yugo?
You get what you pay for. And when you buy NGF name brand products, you're riding in the executive class level. Sure you can fly by "coach," but wouldn't you rather fly by first class?
Executive class has it's benefits and privileges. It's not just about the money, but more of a state of mind. And that state of mind is what NGF delivers and will stand by for the years to come. Don't sell yourself short by lowering your standards. Just look around at what is going on. NGF cartridges are selling World-Wide for an increasingly higher value day after day. Any time you see or hear of another "Big" collector, that person will have some or all of the NGF carts in their collection. It's not a coincidence, but an achievement goal set by other Neo fans who aim to become NeoGeoFreaks and NGF Big Tymers.
People from all part of the Neo gaming world have now associated the "NGF carts" as the true mark of ones level of excellence in the Neo AES collecting world. Some of the "others" just can't accept that reality, so what better way to pretend why they don't have something then by saying "I don't want it" or "NGF is this or that." They are just trying to justify to themselves and other people why they can't or "won't" do something that they claim they "love."
Anyone can easily say "I don't want a Bentley because "blah, blah, blah." But if someone were to give it to that person for free, I bet that person would take it and then brag about owning a $300K car, or $350-$400K convertible Bentley Azure.
Don't let the short comings of others affect your Neo goals. Set your goals as high as you can. We do, so should you.... that is...if you think you're worth it and deserve the best.
The NeoGeo and NGF carts are not for everyone. (neither is a Bentley)
