Why does KOF XII suck so much? (Was "So KOF XII is delayed?")

So is everyone playing in the traditional button type configuration (lp,lk,hp,hk = abcd)?
On 360, with my stick, that's type D which is what felt best then realized it was the og style.

There's been a lot of reference to What seems to be NEO layout (cd, c, etc) just want to make sure I'm on the same page as I have always played the kofs but never dug into strategies and read up on combos, etc. Now this game makes me want to be better and I'd like to make sure I'm understanding correctly.

Also was there detail of the 360 patch like ignitin released for the ps3 patch? I haven't read anything as to what the 360patch is for/does.

AFAIK the 360 patch only tweaks the netcode to help with the lag. Microsoft has a cap on how large updates can be so I'm guessing the additional features (friend matches/invites etc) will come as DLC.

I really like the cover art for the Korean 360 version of this game....

If the Japanese/US version are confirmed to be region free, does that mean the Korean version is also region free?

Yes I used the OG style and my friend's hate it. They like the 2 punches on top, 2 kicks on bottom setup. So when we pass the stick around we have to keep switching up the buttons and shit. However since they couldn't play like that I just bit the bullet and played with they setup they liked and I still whooped that ass.

I'm just going to assume that the korean version is "or" close to the asian version. Which usually means that it's like the US version.

The one that got me at first though was how lacking Clark is. I've always been primarily a Clark player in KOF since KOF 98 and to see him in such a weakened state pissed me off but I dropped his ass in favor of Robert Garcia of whom I've NEVER used in a KOF game. It didn't take me long to forget about Clark because this game is too much fun.

That's the same problem I had. The first time I played the game I selected Clark as my first entry and was shocked that nothing I tried was working. Really the bare-bones move-list is the only thing about this game that pisses me off. I can deal with the lack of an end-boss or the fact that the roster is so small compared to other KOFs...I just can't deal with characters that ARE in the game having only two moves. :oh_no:

From the KoF Facebook page:

Dear KOF XII Fans,

The support and excitement generated by the fans so far for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XII is amazing and incredibly appreciated. We are so happy to finally have it available. Even after the game was finished, additional steps were taken to help improve the player experience and an update was released for both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
However, Ignition Entertainment is not at all happy with the online performance or with some of the functional issues that the fans have raised even after the release of these updates. We want to ensure the community that we are not taking this lightly and are having meetings in person with members of SNK PLAYMORE even at this very moment. Please continue your constructive feedback because we are listening and will do everything we can to have SNK PLAYMORE address these issues as soon as possible.
The King of Fighters series has always had some of the very best and supportive fans and we want to do what we can to help ensure they are treated right. We will continue to keep you updated on progress with SNK PLAYMORE and we thank you again for the continued support.

Kickass, finally a publisher who takes the damn games seriously.

I'm going to laugh at the whiners when Ignition/SNKP make this the greatest fighting game ever through incremental updates. :lolz:

ok u guys i finally bought this ...USED..hit me up with some kof action!!!

You realize the developers at SNKP get ZERO dollars when you buy a game USED?

Pay the extra 5 fucking dollars and buy a new copy!

Never buy used games in the first couple months of release, especially if you like the game. Your not helping secure the future of the franchise at all, you're just keeping slimy shit stores like Gamestop in business.

Can someone forward the video I made to some kind of authority, so they can maybe patch this? I'll be working on more properties that are known to cause glitches.

So far we have Athena corner infinite, Chin infinite, and when Raiden does a super on Elizabeth, she gets cuffed. Each of these is very dangerous and match ending glitches.

Ignition is watching this thread closely, so you should make an account and provide a detailed description of what you've found.

lollerz.
you guys defending ignition really need to get your heads out of your behinds.
ignition can only forward the problems to playmore.
did they even do the localization translation for the game?
hahah.

btw.
incomplete.

I got KoF XII for ps3 today, loving it! Very fast paced, great stuff.

Only complaint, naturally, is there are a few more character's I'd like. Especially Mai. :D

Hopefully Mai and a few other classics will be in the next one, but oh yes, this game rules.

I haven't tried Clark yet, but don't let the lack of super moves fool you. There are tons of neat combos and tricks that you can unexpectedly pull, especially with CD attacks.

I'm really liking Mature here, she's got some Vice vibe in her.

Also, certain moves have two voice overs. Like Terry's power wave, he randomly says it in two different tones. Neat detail.

Hmm. Some characters also have different win quotes for certain characters. So far, I noticed a Ralf win quote for Terry, and a Terry win quote for Iori.

lollerskates.
really.
gtfo?
grow up.
you just spent 60 dollars on an unfinished game
that probably wasn't beta tested, tested online, or made with a boss and story.
and it's only real attracting mode is a speed run.
A GODDAMN SPEED RUN.
give me a break.

would you rather everyone send their complaints in english to snkp? whole lot of good thatll do.

i think the publisher has a ton more sway than even the most organized coalition of fans.

or would you rather everyone not buy it, so we never see another kof due to shitty sales.

at least organizing problems and complaints with the hope of either improving the current product and if not at least the future one is somewhat productive.

your posts are worthless and youve been a really annoying member as of late.

great story bro.

and btw.
I'd rather have people not buy it,
you know.
so playmore could maybe succumb to market pressure and put out a real game.
you know.
instead of putting out an unfinished game.
I really don't have a problem with anyone putting in their complaints to ignition.
but these kids don't need to act like ignition will be the ones fixing the problem.
expect it fixed in the complete kof game 2 years from now.

how's that post?
is that annoying?
how about this.
at least I don't live in new jersey.
or how about, would you like a tissue while you hold back your tears while you whine?
come on.
I have all day son.

wow youre an asshole.

whatever man.

everyone knows ignition can only pass along the complaints, but they can do it with much more weight than anyone else.

buying or at the very fucking least, PLAYING the game is a good way to assess its quality.
