Why can't I move/delete/lock my own threads?

It says only moderators or administrators can. Why can't the person who STARTED the thread use these functions?!

If they did that... It could be hacked so that you can do it to any thread...

Ahh those were the days. I think it is also because it was to prevent a person from talking shit about another then deleting the thread so that other person couldn't fight back.
