Why can people not follow auction terms?

So, I put two items up on eBay, and I always use the same disclaimer in my auctions: "No zero or negative feedback bidders and payment must be received within three days of auction's end" So what happens? A guy with zero feedback snipes both of them, and then tells me he isn't going to pay me for a week. Can people not read? Do they not think this stuff applies to them? Are they really that stupid?

I'm really temtped to say "F you" with this and relist/second chance these. This is going to turn into a real mess.:very_ang:

What's even worse is when people hit "Buy It Now' and think it means "I will pay you later". Good thing the option for immediate payment is there now.

Im with the guys here, sell it to the second one and say asta la vista baby to the MTF who sniped the auction.

BTW i hate those mtf, they snipe, dont pay and then the owner relist and i cant buy what i want. Like that Pulstar that goes to nearly U$500, insane shit :blow_top:

Next time just block zero feedback bidders. eBay gives you a lot of options that will block users that you feel should not be bidding on your items.

I've been on both sides of this (not the zero feedback but getting fucked over with a no pay).

In my instance my wife clicked a "buy it now" that I had wanted at some point but didn't then, took a day to fix it out and I felt like a moron.

Most of the crap I've sold on ebay is odd computer chips and parts that goes for a couple grand (intel itanium and crap like that) and I've had people bid snipe and then say "money in a week".

You can always just work out a deal with another bidder, contact them and tell the top bid to fuck off. Bid snipers are the worst to deal with anyways and often don't have cash on hand.

If I'm interested in an item I will ALWAYS contact the seller on my first bid and try to work out a price so I can get it on the side, rather then subject both of us to the hell that is ebay. The way I see it is that I get the item I want, he get's the price he wants, and neither of us has to deal with a bid sniper that fucks me, and might not pay him.

nothing personal, but I bid snipe EVERY auction I really want, and I allways paid via PayPal immediately after the auction was over, so not all bid snipers are bad. :P Just the losers that dont pay are the ones who suck!

Actually, you can't block zero feedback bidders, only those with negative feedback.

Do you tell on your "terms" message something like "zero or negative feedback bidders please contact me first or your bid will be automatically removed"? It should be a nice idea to do on your next auctions :)

Sniping is cool, its just the 0 feedback and THEN money in a week that's idiotic.

Yes. That's the whole problem, people aren't reading that part of the auction terms. Here's an example of one of my auctions, BTW. (This is a new one, not the one that this guy bid on.)

The last AES cart I sold, I speciafically said payment must be made in 3 days. After the 3rd day I told him to make payment or I would re-list item. Of course he was apolagetic and said he was broke. So trying to be the nice guy that I am, I told him no problem and that I would re-list. 3 days later I traded it in the forums. 2 days after that he sent me a payment for the AES cart. :lolz: .

I returned the payment, but I am guessing he was drunk, high, or just :loco: .
I noticed he received 2 different negative feedbacks, 5 days after my auction ended.

I think I'm going to rewrite my auction disclaimer to make it more obvious than it already is. I don't want to sound unfriendly in my descriptions, but I'm sick of this crap from idiots.

I've avoided selling on eBay ever since I joined these forums. I've only sold a few items on there since. Fuck 'em.

It is a good place to buy stuff though.

Sometimes it's a good place to make a quick buck, but only when the bidders are decent.
