Hello everyone,
I think Athena is a great character to play with. Her moves are not sa bad after all, eventhough they tend to underpower them episode by episode. In my opinion, they should underpower the actress who records her voice, too. Because it is goddamn annoying, to hear those little high pitched whines and yells whenever you perform a "Psycho Baaaaaaaaaaaall!", "Psycho Swoooord!" and such.
The sounds of a character is very important, it gives some truthfulness to it. That is why I dislike playing with the sound turned off, as well as playing a MVS in an arcade full of sounds and noises, where all you can hear is somebody else's game and not yours.
In my humble and poor opinion, I think they accentuate Athena's voice and screams to make her look better. She didn't grow old, did she? So, she still has that silly whining voice of hers.
But isn't playing KOF the most important thing after all? If you don't like her voice, then turn the volume down whenever you fight with or against her. It's that simple.
