I still have yet to see a good earthquake player...

When they first introduced him in svc chaos... yes he was annoying and kinda hard to beat...

but later after most know how to beat him... I think he's pretty much weak and depend on his special moves too much and very limited combos from what I see... :\

Good work but that is so freaking lame. So easy and almost 100% damage using only one powerstock.

No kidding. V-Ken is a cheesemaster. I just saw EW's post where he said something like just j.D and the super, exceed, and thought I'd mention the c.C and db.D.

Violent Ken is cool but really,

there's something so much more satisfying about winning with someone else that a lot of people avoid using.

Thats why I've been spend my time working w/the only Grappler (Huge-O), and he's pretty quick to boot. But Mr. Karate is my fav.

Hugo is actually really good.

But Tabasa is the one I want to excel with, and I just don't see it happening.

I feel like I'm using SSIII amakusa sometimes.

Well you're in luck... Ask me anything regarding Tabasa :D

And if you're like against Hugo... he has totally no chance against her lol

Tebassa is supposed to be really broken in this game, like extremely top tier. I have a few friends in Japan that said they saw stuff with her that just shouldn't be in any game.. at all. Stuff that makes Zero and Geese infinity cheese more bearable.

I used to be a real Ryo freak in the KOF's , but for some reason I way better with Mr.Karate in SVC so for the time being, he's my boy.

I originally thought I'd be using Genjuro almost exclusively, but with only a light and strong slash (as opposed to light, medium, and strong) I find him to be less enjoyable to use.

He still has all of his slash variations.

A = Weak Slash
B = Medium Slash
C = Strong Slash
D = Kick

It's just like the SSIII/IV control scheme.

Same goes for Shiki.

Whoops.

That's what I get for not trying out any of his kicks.

Will re-try the guy tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip.

FYI: You can juggle with anything you want after Genjuro's dp+B (including DM).

Stuff that makes Zero and Geese's infinity more bearable?
You kidding me? :confused:
Geese's inifinite(I can bear with Zero's) is TEH CHEESE in SvC... nothing is cheesier than his infinite... X_x
How much have you played this game? ;)

Anyways...
She's not broken!
It's just that she uses the GCD at great advantage which compliments with her Ascend Proof... I must say sometimes abit much too :D

But it's not always 100% successful as sometimes:
1) Your opponent recovers faster than you can GCD and ascend proof.
2) Ascend Proof has zero range... and has to be really close in order for the move to work... and sometimes when you GCD, you're not close enough with the opponent.

Also against expert players, They wouldn't be stupid to use some beefy moves or combo right in front of her face to just make her block, GCD, ascend proof...

So the Ascend Proof is like a defensive move for Tabasa, a VERY good one too.

She does have this bug though:
After you've thrown an opponent with her ascend proof, quickly summon a jamming ghost and while the opponent's down do an Inroad Fowl(d+D in air) and the ghost will be unblockable.
If you wanna go for this bug, then be sure to do the Inroad Fowl and jump to other side of the opponent... He cant escape... You're in front of him and the Ghost's behind him(being unblockable too)

But seriously this bug won't work sometimes if you don't get the time right...
I don't use this bug against challengers anyways... Although I would consider it against say Geese players ~_~
Still Geese's brokeness is nothing compared to it... :\

Hmm General advice I would give if you use Tabasa is that...
use her Inroad Fowl(d+D in air) *everytime* you do a jump or retreat... It's one of the best anti-air projectiles in the game...

Do a df+B or df+D(the cat flipping thingy move) whenever an opponent jumps towards you...(that'd stop the Evil Iori players from jumping too much xD)
df+B comes out faster but doesn't really juggle the opponent for followup combos after that...
df+D comes out slower but the cat flips longer and also juggles the opponent for a combo/super....
I suggest doing a Death Phenomeno(hcb hcb+B) everytime the df+D hits. :)

If you're a keepaway person... then the general tactic would be zoning the opponent with your chakra waves(qcf+A) and Jamming Ghost(dp+B)... I wouldn't advice to summon the ghost everytime though... It comes out *VERY* slow and use it only when your opponent's down...
The Chakra wave's a decent projectile... just don't abuse it, you'll be raped :P
Her dragon head Winder Fist(qcf +B) is OK, it's good in combos but not really reliable as stand alone move.
Same goes for her dragon punch Reverie Sword(dp+A)... Like every other uppercut, has recovery and I say you use it mainly in open combos.

Oh and comes to the interesting part... whenever the enemy's close or if the opponent does some mistake or when he let's a beefy attack... quick GCD and ascend proof(hcb+A) ^^
Summon a Ghost after that to watch your opponent tremble in fear!(It's entirely up to you if you wanna go for the bug though lol)
You can also do her Exceed Meteor Fall(hcb hcb+AC) after GCD :P
Though I prefer to find the right time to catch my opponent unexpecting it...
Her exceed has double range... which means it can catch and suck opponents on the ground from a decent distance...
You can juggle the opponent after the exceed with some simple combos or even her super ^^

Alright combos combos:

1)D, qcf+ B, qcf+B.

2)D, df+D, dp+A, jump C

3)df+D, hcb hcb+B

4)D, df+D, df+B, qcf qcf A

5)A, hcb hcb+AC, hcb hcb B

Well those are simple BnB combos and I just realised I've written an essay X_x
Ok hope all these helps EvilWasabi :P

This has nothing to do with my experience in this game. If you notice, I said it was second hand knowledge. There are many Geese players where I play, but none of them use his infinite, but rather focus their concentration on other strats.

There's not really a lot of Tebassa players in my area, and the couple that do use her are ok with her, mainly doing a few things you've listed. She doesn't interest me enough to learn her, although that could change down the line if I get bored with other characters.

I have fought with a few good tabasa players and they know how to break an aggressive player's attacks well.They can be a pain to beat if you are not careful.

Yeah I mentioned you can do her exceed after a successful GCD ^^

Don't do her hcb hcb+K super after a GCD o_O
That super is better to connect after her df+D or if the opponent tries to jump in... :)

Oh nono ^^;;
GCD is Guard Cancal Dash
Done by doing a 'front front' or BC when you block an attack :)
