This game is notoriously cheap, so my question is: have you beaten it?

I've been playing this game for a week and I always burn through my 4 credits before the Mr. Big.

Any suggestions?

Take any character with a qcf+P "ki" move, like Ryo or Eiji. King's venom strike works too.

At the start of the match, dash forwards at the CPU and throw. Stand over the fallen opponent and do a qcf+P (or K, for King) as soon as it gets up. If you did this right, the CPU will not block the attack and will get dizzied. Repeat this until you get to Geese (he falls for this too.)

i was like

aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

those were the days,man

if you're an AOF2 grandmaster you must perform that cheap trick using EIJI or YURI

give it a try

Well actually I am pretty damn good at this game.I have beaten geese several times on normal level with Jack and even have prove as i recorded it on video.so if anyone wants to come around they can see I am good with takuma too, all you need to do against geese is do your kick special and he just cant react, however you misstime it once and hes onto you in the corner like there is no tommorow
I have beaten it on hard level only the once but with many continues, luckily i did this when i had the neo cd as 4 continues would not have been enough on hard level
however art of fighting 1 and 3 have been a lot togher in my opinion
its weird that

I love AoF2! I can beat it without the cheap fireball when you get up technique. Just poke the person to death! When they jump at you, just do a standing fierce kick. When they walk forward to you, just stand fierce punch. Throw when you can. The thing is people try too hard when they play this game, and end up getting clobbered because they're trying to use too much technique. It's a very basic game and should be approached that way.

I myself am a punch and kick player. i think i win most of my points on beat em ups but jump kicking em in the head.it feels more rewarding to win a game that way too, after all in real life who can really do fireballs? even though also in real life it is very hard to jump kick someone in the head as well but more probable

Lee Gray,
You said "after all in real life who can really do fireballs?" I thought I was the only one who thought fireballs were a little flakey. Don't get me wrong, they're cool for some stories, like DBZ, but look at AOF: Mickey, a boxer, who can throw spiritual projectiles. Ummm . . . please give me a little more credit. Also, I've never been a big fan of announcing the name of your move. If you were sparring someone, they drew back and said "Haoh Sho Ko Ken!", you'd probably laugh your ass off. It was cool in Hokktonoken, but not anymore. Please don't get me wrong, part of me loves it. It's classic, but it is a little silly. Anyway, I'm getting way off the topic.
Yes, AOF2's CPU is ultra cheezey. Pecking away at them with jabs works okay. The qcf trick works too. If you really have a tough time, just do the best you can, then unleash your desparation move on them. Lee is particularly well rounded character for employing a little of each strategy. Good luck.

AOF

P.S. - These are just my humble opinions, don't hate me for it.

I beat it with Takuma!

I love to fight against Geese Howard in AoF2!

If you have a MVS-Upgrade you can also play him in 2P-Mode.

AOF, I was just thinking about that yesterday! ...The fighters shouting out the names of their moves. Plus, some fighters sound really wimpy when they say them! It might work better if there was like a play-by-play announcer who said the names of everyone's moves as they were done. But then you'd probably get tired of hearing the announcer's voice.

If you are low on energy with your last fighter, just press start on the second joypad and use the 2nd players 4 credits, too!

You have to do this BEFORE you have lost the game, though!

Well,if Ryo tries that to me in the game,i just Hienshippu-kick him(or even just a simple jump kick)!

Actually,this is Mr.Karates weakness in AOF1!
So i am always 'glad' if a enemy announces that special!
