The topic question says all. As far as I know, King of Fighters 94-99, Fatal Fury 3, and Real Bout: Fatal Fury Special had it. Are there any others?

-Fatal Fury 2
-Fatal Fury Special
-Fatal Fury 3
-King of Fighters (94-2000)

Great! Keep 'em coming, fellas! I want to know for certain, out of all the Neo-Geo CD games, which ones have and don't have arranged soundtracks.

I'm pretty sure the original Samurai Shodown had arranged music on the CD version. Pulstar actually has a fully arranged soundtrack on the CD, so I figured they'd have put that into the game, but I guess not.

Oh, Aero Fighters 2 has arranged music too.

By the way, Metal Slug and MS2 also have the same BGM on cart & CD if I recall right.

Keep going, guys! 29 down, 68 to go. Does anyone know if the more rarer Neo-Geo CD games (Breakers, Twinkle Star Sprites, etc.) have arranged soundtracks?

Come on, guys. Anyone else know any other Neo-Geo CD games that do/don't have arranged music?

Twinkle Star Sprites has arraged music BUT, I forget if it's actually in the game or not. I know it's in the DC port, it's bound to be in the Saturn one, and while I should think there's a 99.999% chance it's in the NCD conversion, I simply can't say for sure.

... well the CD-only games of course don't count and I'm guessing Final Romance 2 used the same ST as in the arcade (the only version of the game I've played).

Well, the CD-only games were ONLY ON CD, so there's no chance of them having arranged CD soundtracks, is what I was getting at. Thus add them to list #2.

From what I head the existence of an OST/AST for a game does not necessarily coincide with whether or not it's got arranged music in the NCD game so I'm not going to use them specifically. If I remember when I get home, I'll check more into this.

I have both Double Dragon on both CD and home cart, and let me say that the CD arrangement blows away the home cart music!

This game is a so-so fighter, but the arranged music on the CD makes it quite fun (especially hearing that great jazz-sax remix of the classic DD tune ).

Buy it! (oh wait, this isn't a bad review...)

Bobak, this is the exact reason why I tend to favor some CD versions of Neo-Geo games over the original: the music. No matter how good the MVS music is, it tends to get on my nerves fairly quickly (not to mention the fact that it gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day). A game with an arranged soundtrack, however, just simply feels better to the ears. Which is why I'm doing this list: to figure out, and find out, which games have different music on their CD counterparts, and which ones are no different from their MVS versions.

In addition to all of my previous questions, do any of the Neo-Geo CD exclusives have arranged or original (as in MVS) music? Also, any further contributions to the list would be appreciated.

Yes, I'm still interested in that list.

I may in fact pick up a NEO CD for myself in the coming months (mainly for Iron Clad & SSRPG.....& Bust-A-Move) so I'll see if I can be more helpful later on. Come on though people, we have a way to go before this is complete!

I think it was a great idea, insaneben. I'm glad it's going to be hosted instead of lost in archive-obscurity.
