When did conversion carts start costing so much?

The thing is they use parts from real games, and the cost of those is going up.

I thought bootleggers were past that point now and the boards/boxes/shells were all new, as Atomikwave had designed his own boards? I would imagine it's true, got to speed up production somehow with so many people available to rip off......

first off, no one should be supporting conversion sales. Those abortions of technology should be burned in fire.

second, buy a neosd. You can play most of the games off one of those, and on real hardware.

For the boots and conversions using real carts, the best option would be reusing them for unreleased games or restoring back to an original game, there's tons of KOF, FF3, SS3 and numerous other AES art sets and ROM sets floating around.

I get that people love Home Systems and carts but the ship has sailed and sunk on legit carts.

Who cares what it costs, it's a conversion. It's not worth the thought.
