What's your experience with Walmart 3rd party sellers?

Mine has been generally good. They're usually much slower at delivering merchandise than Walmart itself (1-2 weeks sometimes), but, they often carry stuff I want, especially CDs and DVDs, that Walmart doesn't.

A lot of them are batshit insane with their prices or sneaky about it though. Like, the other day, I had the Friends sitcom LEGO set in my cart, and it was cheaper than retail, but, then, when I went to checkout, $42 shipping, almost the cost of the item itself. So funny.

I'm still waiting on a Poison greatest hits CD from one seller, which is "delayed" and still "processing", that I ordered like a month ago. Walmart will refund the money if they don't make good (same thing happened with a DVD player Christmas time), but, it's still annoying. I NEED to listen to Unskinny Bop or some shit.

The only thing I recall buying off WalMart.com is my RCA microwave, which I only bought because it matches my tiny little Unicorn Gundam gachapon statue.

It's actually pretty cool. I could see LEGO doing a whole line of these using various sitcoms like Roseanne, Married With Children, Seinfeld, etc.

LEGO has a program now, Ideas, and this is one, where fans create their own builds, other fans vote for them, and, if you get 10k Likes, they may produce it as an official product. The dinosaur fossil exhibit one I recently bought and shared in the action figures thread is another Ideas kit. So, if you wanted to cobble together a FF7 one and submit it, it could happen (I think Ruby Weapon would be cool in LEGO).

I honestly don't buy anything through Walmart or the Sears website because of the horrible 3rd party sellers with little to no oversight. Been strung along then had to spend like an hour on hold every time with Walmart to force them to give me my money back.

Sometimes I do when I'm in the physical store (for example, I lucked out and got a sealed boxed set of all five Bay Transformers movies for about $10, instead of the usual $25 it goes for), but, mostly I order from their website, much larger library to choose from.

I didn't have any problem getting my money, $109, back for that DVD player I mentioned. Didn't even have to ask, Walmart did it on their own after it took too long for the 3rd party company to fill the order. I'm thinking the same thing is going to happen with the Poison CD, but, that was only like $5-6 anyway, so, I don't really give a shit and I'll just wait a while yet to see if it will magically appear--now that I think about it, I seem to recall that the tracking said it did ship at one point, but, then, en route, it changed to delayed, so, maybe it's lying behind a box in a USPS sorting center somewhere. That's another thing, Walmart almost always uses FedEx, but, the 3rd party ones typically go with USPS.

I feel like this conversation is taking place in 1999.

I bought a transformer not knowing it was from a 3rd party, and it all went fine. Product was pristine, unopened box, etc.

These third party stores drive me nuts. I'll scrounge the internet for some discontinued item, find it on a reputable store like Best Buy or whatever, and then see that it's actually a shady third party called Ted's Groovy Electronix and shipping costs $60. I don't know why these companies think having third party sellers is good customer service. Well, I'm sure they don't. They just know they can charge 10% for each transaction.
