When compared to his appearance in Vampire Saviour: The lord of Vampires. I know he's got midnight bliss (shit, everyone knows that) but what else? Does he have the 'bite-combo' super? (in V.S. it's performed lp, mp, f, mk, mk, if I remeber correctly).

he has the bite combo super, a super fireball, and a mega-super fireball.

He has chain combos, and his teleport.

His blocking animation looks great.

Wth is a male angel? o_O
lol anyways Demitri is pretty damn cheap in SvC chaos I must say... his fireballs are good esp the air one and the Uppercut Demon Cradle has like almost no recovery lag...Got a good damaging easy simple chain combos...and yeah he's pretty much cheap ;)

There's also some players I were against that used his teleport + Midnight Bliss surprise alot...gosh I hated that >_<

I was worried that he'd look like shit in this game compared to the Vampire series, but he looks great. In fact, after playing SvsCC, he looks stupid in the old series. Very nicely done. And he IS cheap, but what are you gonna do, he's a boss. ;)

Yeah... he's probably one of the best animated characters in the game... looks very nice!

So cheap though X_X... fireball war, mainly.

That is pretty weird yeah I haven't seen Demitri in the Vampire series and once I saw him in one of the arcades I'm in... and wow he's not very big and he looks small and kinda skinny too o_O

So SvC Demitri looks better I must say^^

Interesting, looks like I now have a reason to start using Angel next time I play 2001. But I must ask, how does his qcb + k teleport drill kick thingy fare in this game? Isn't a little less affective now that there's no longer a medium kick button present (thus stopping him from reappearing in the middle of the screen). Or have playmore found a way around this limitation? Also, how is the "bite combo" super performed in this game, I'm guessing it's lp, hp, f, hk, hk, but I could be wrong.

A, A, d or f (can't recall which one), B, D.

Forgot to ask, does he have "Go for a joint" , it's the move where he turns into load of bats that fly towards the oponent. I call it go for a joint cos that's it sounds like he's saying.

Unfortunately not. The bat move is my favorite move by far from the vampire savior. I have so many fond import saturn memories of that.

Goddamn, I wish capcom would just get off their asses and do something......

??? What's that?

Knock down the opponent, while they are on the ground, press Up+kick, and Demitri will flip over and kick them while they are down.

The timing on the pursuit takes some getting used to at first...plus it can miss when you get further away...

man, i still can't believe that move was included, the cheapness doth flow! by the by (and this next question is reeeeally important)...

Please tell that you dont have to do that retarded sideways dragon punch movement to perform midnight bliss, I fookin' hate that command so much! (second only to Geese Howard's dodgy pretzel motion for raging storm!)

I was quite pleased to see it included, myself. The Japanese refer to such techniques by a couple of different names, depending on the game in which they're used -- the Vampire series called them 追いうち攻撃 Oiuchi Kougeki [Pursuit Attacks], while the Virtua Fighter series called them ダウン攻撃 Down Kougeki [Down Attacks] (since they could only be used against an opponent who'd been knocked "down"). I'm currently having a blast with Konami's Dragoon Might (I picked up the mobo while I was in Japan in January), which also includes Oiuchi Kougeki (although the timing seems a bit trickier than in the Vampire series -- it's alot like Kazuki Dash's description of the way Demitri's Oiuchi Kougeki feels in SVC CHAOS). By the way, Demitri's Oiuchi Kougeki is called "Hell's Ride."

Yep, Midnight Bliss is still executed with a 263 motion. I've actually always liked the non-standard Lever-motions for supers (like Midnight Bliss and Raging Storm), since it meant that not every guy with a quarter would be able to pull them off consistently -- they actually took some practice and getting used to.

Kao Megura's SVC CHAOS FAQ (at gamefaqs.com) has some very detailed info on this latest incarnation of Demitri -- check it out, if you haven't already.

Well said Dash no Chris...I also thought I'd add that for some reason button press supers in this game seem to have some really screwy timing to pull off...what I mean are those supers that require a series of button presses like Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu and sadly, Demitri's Midnight Pleasure...to me it got so hard to pull off that I rely on the Midnight Bliss and "Catch My Rage" super instead...
:(

Side Note: Another problem with the Midnight Pleasure is that I've seen in some rare instances that the super just pushes the opponent along without actually connecting, and that was at point blank range!

My advice, if you can adjust to the 263 motion of the Bliss you'll be better relying on that super in a pinch...

Does that problem exist only in this game?

Black Noah:
to my knowledge I've never seen this happen in any game from the Vampire series...my guess is it's yet another bug to add to the list for SvC...but don't get me wrong, it's not like it happens THAT often...I've only seen it once or twice but to me and everyone else watching we all went "WTF?!?!?"

Oh okay - I was about to say. I've never seen this happen in any of the Vampire games.

I guess it's just SvC and its hit-detection problems. I still enjoy the game, nonetheless.
